Highlights
Investing in additional characters in Farlight 84 is worth it due to their unique playstyles and the fun and rewarding gameplay they offer.
For novice players, it is advisable to choose between MK.R, Ceanna, Yong, Ducksyde, or Beau as their initial Capsulers. These characters offer a smooth learning curve, high effectiveness, and enjoyable gameplay.
Each of these Capsulers possesses unique abilities that contribute to their value in various aspects. MK.R excels in scanning, Ceanna specializes in healing skills, Yong provides exceptional tracking and reconnaissance abilities, Ducksyde offers reliable support and defensive capabilities, while Beau demonstrates offensive prowess with assault rifles.
When players launch Farlight 84 for the first time, they are provided with a few Capsulers to begin with. However, it is highly recommended to invest in another character as soon as enough gold is accumulated. Each Capsuler in Farlight 84 has a distinctive playstyle, making it worthwhile to explore the other available characters in the game. Many of them offer a gratifying and enjoyable experience in the long run.
It is important for players to be cautious when selecting their initial unlock since each Capsuler costs 30,000 gold. After the first purchase, it may take some time to accumulate enough gold to unlock additional characters. To simplify this significant decision, the following Capsulers should be prioritized due to their user-friendliness, effectiveness on the battlefield, and overall enjoyment while playing.
5 MK.R
Skills:
Passive:
MK.R can scan enemies while skydiving to mark them for identification.
Fatal Volley:
MK.R fires a volley of rockets at a targeted area.
Sky Roaming:
MK.R utilizes a skydiving device that launches players into the air, enabling them to enter a skydiving state once again. In addition to his visually appealing robotic design, MK.R is an easily adaptable Capsuler character after a few matches. From the start of the game, MK.R proves his usefulness by scanning for nearby targets, ensuring the safety of his allies while searching for loot. Furthermore, his Sky Roaming ability allows him to quickly evacuate his team if the situation becomes unfavorable or if they mistakenly land in the wrong area, effectively restarting the match by propelling them back into the air.
4 Ceanna
What sets him apart as an excellent choice for beginners is the incredible versatility of MK.R, primarily attributed to his remarkable skill called Fatal Volley. Though he is typically utilized as a support character, MK.R's exceptional ability to locate adversaries from elevated positions and unleash a relentless onslaught of missiles also enhances his aptitude as an assertive character who can incessantly intimidate opposition forces.
Skills:
Passive:
Ceanna is able to rescue teammates a lot faster than any other character.
Restoration Field:
Ceanna throws down a device that heals nearby allies and repairs their shields.
Medi-Ex:
Ceanna drops a drone next to each teammate which can heal and rescue them.
No team will ever complain about having Ceanna on their crew because she is undeniably the most skilled Capsuler in the game when it comes to providing health support for her allies. While playing the traditional role of a medic in a hero shooter may not suit everyone's preferences, effectively using Ceanna requires a significant amount of strategy and careful planning. She must closely monitor her team's health to determine the optimal timing for deploying her drones, ensuring they are not wasted.
Despite her strategic complexity, Ceanna is remarkably easy to become acquainted with as a character. Her consistency makes her an excellent choice for beginners, as she is guaranteed to be effective in every game she appears in. However, players using Ceanna must always remain close to their team, as she lacks the ability to inflict significant damage on her own. Playing her as a lone wolf is generally not advisable.
3 Yong
Skills:
Passive:
Yong has the ability to see enemy footprints.
Blinding Mark:
Yong marks all enemies in a short distance in front of him. Spotted enemies will have reduced movement speed and their vision will be blurred when attacked by Yong or his allies.
Divulge:
Yong effectively gathers information about all targets in the area using his reconnaissance eyepiece. His gaming style sets him apart, often resembling that of a detective solving a crime scene rather than a typical battle-ready soldier. With his passive and Blinding Mark abilities, he excels at locating and ambushing unsuspecting teams, making him an ideal choice for setting up ambushes and easily overpowering small groups.
Where Yong truly shines, however, is in the final moments of a game when only a handful of enemies remain. During this critical juncture, players will find themselves frantically navigating through small pockets of the map in a bid to eliminate their rivals. Nevertheless, with Yong's incredible Divulge ability, he possesses the power to effortlessly locate every opponent with a mere touch of a button, rendering him an unstoppable force that can potentially break the game. Mastering the utilization of each of Yong's abilities requires some practice, but once players become proficient in his playstyle, they will discover an exceptional character at their disposal.
2 Ducksyde
Skills:
Passive:
When Ducksyde uses Shield Recharger, there's a chance it will have double the effect.
Wrecking Duckball:
Ducksyde turns into a wrecking ball, gaining defense and knocking over any enemies he makes contact with.
Travel Barrier:
Ducksyde throws down a defensive drone that forms a large protective barrier which moves with Ducksyde and his team.
Ducksyde, despite his absurd design, is a highly effective support Capsuler in the game. While his appearance may be deceiving, he excels in creating space and keeping enemies at bay with his powerful ability, the Wrecking Duckball. This ability is particularly troublesome for opponents, especially those equipped with close-range weapons like the Uzi.
Additionally, Ducksyde's Travel Barrier is a valuable asset as it provides protection for both him and his team, while still allowing them to maintain mobility since it moves with them throughout the map. The enjoyment factor of using the Duckball is unparalleled, making Ducksyde a constantly engaging and entertaining character to play. For beginners, he is an excellent choice, ensuring hours of captivating gameplay as a Capsuler.
1 Beau
Skills:
Passive:
When Beau has an assault rife equipped, the magazine capacity is increased.
Frenzy Blast:
Beau throws down a portable grenade that deals AOE damage.
Cluster Grenade:
Beau unleashes a specialized grenade that fragments into numerous smaller explosives, intensifying the impact following the initial detonation. Known for his unwavering aggression, frenetic energy, and high-octane gameplay, Beau has garnered a loyal following among players. While his abilities may initially appear unremarkable, as many characters typically possess only one offensive ability, Beau's possession of two offensive skills, coupled with his ability to enhance assault rifles, establishes him as an formidable adversary.
Players who enjoy wreaking havoc on the battlefield through explosive means should prioritize unlocking Beau without delay, particularly if they favor engaging in mid-range gunfights using assault rifles instead of close-quarters combat. It is worth mentioning that all of Beau's skills, particularly the Cluster Grenades, possess a remarkably wide area-of-effect, eliminating the need for any prior practice in their usage. Simply toss them out and witness the soaring casualties.
