However, players who have not installed Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone may need to download an even larger update. Twitter user KatKatTrollin shared a response showing that players installing the Call of Duty HQ launcher on consoles and PC should reserve up to 180 GB to preload Modern Warfare 3.
Unfortunately, Call of Duty fans are expressing their dissatisfaction with the new update, as it occupies a significant amount of storage on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X console's internal storage. Some players are also disappointed with Activision, as the company had previously claimed that the Modern Warfare 3 file size would be smaller upon launch.

As a Gen Z netizen, I have mixed feelings about the massive update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. On one hand, I am excited to play the game and experience the new multiplayer and Zombies modes. On the other hand, I am disappointed by the large file size and the fact that it takes up a significant amount of storage space on my console.
I understand that the update is necessary to ensure that the game runs smoothly and that players have access to all of the latest content. However, I think that Activision and Sledgehammer Games could have done a better job of optimizing the file size. I also think that they should have been more transparent about the file size requirements before the game's release.
Overall, I am still looking forward to playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but I am disappointed by the large file size. I hope that Activision and Sledgehammer Games will be able to address this issue in future updates.
