MAPPA's original anime Bucchigiri?! is set to release in January 2024
MAPPA's official YouTube Channel released Bucchigiri?! anime's main trailer on Friday, November 24. The series is set to premiere on Saturday, January 13, 2024, and the opening theme song "Sesame" will be performed by Kroi. The trailer gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the upcoming anime, featuring the story of Arajin Tomoshibi and his switch to Ichizu High School.

Unsurprisingly, he found the school to be teeming with troublemakers. However, his luck turned around when he reconnected with his childhood best friend Matakara Asamine and befriended a new girl named Mahoro. Just as his love life seemed to be improving, he found himself confronted with challenging battles against formidable adversaries.
That's when he happens to run into Majin Senya, an entity willing to fulfill any wish Arajin wishes to realize.

Utsumi, along with series script supervisor and scriptwriter Taku Kishimoto, is credited for creating the original story. Takahiro Kagami, the character designer, will also be serving as one of the chief animation directors, alongside Hiroyuki Saita and Kiminori Itō. Additionally, Michiru Oshima and Hiromi Kikuta will be composing the music and serving as the sound director, respectively.
