Manchester City proved their status as the best team in the world with a dominating performance against their Brazilian opponents on a tense night in Saudi Arabia. Relentless Manchester City lays claim to being Premier Leagues greatest team with stunning era of dominance

"Securing these five trophies - the top five prizes in our sport - is truly amazing. I am incredibly proud to have contributed and consider it an honor to play alongside such talented teammates. I couldn't ask for a better group of players."

Manchester City scored the opening goal in just 40 seconds.

Marcelo, the Brazilian left-back, made a mistake with a pass early on, allowing Nathan Aké to take a long shot. The shot hit the post, but Julián Álvarez was able to score off the rebound with his chest. City kept up the pressure and scored again before halftime when Phil Foden's cross was deflected into the net by Fluminense defender Nino.

Foden added to the score in the 72nd minute with a close-range goal. The route was finished in the 88th minute when Álvarez sealed a stellar performance with a precise finish into the far corner.

Citys defence was largely untested for during the game, underlining the teams dominance during this unforgettable year.

"I am most proud of our team's enduring presence, regardless of our victories or trophies. Winning the Treble was special, but holding five major titles demonstrates the unique mentality of our team, club, and fans," stated City boss Guardiola after the match, as reported by We.

"No other English team has ever achieved this, and we will always cherish the incredible time we spent together. Despite some unsavoury scenes and a scuffle breaking out between players on the pitch after the final whistle, the game will be remembered as another successful night for City."

The champion heads back to England where it faces a tough title defence in the Premier League.

It currently sits fourth in the table and will face Everton in its next fixture on Wednesday.
