In December 2019, Wizards of the Coast launched a sub-brand called Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair. This sub-brand offers limited-time curated selections of cards, also known as "drops". To mark the fourth anniversary of this initiative, the company has announced the Secretversary Superdrop. This special event includes nine new drops, featuring over 40 new and reprinted cards.
Among these drops, two are themed around Jurassic World. One showcases multiple dinosaurs, while the other spotlights Jeff Goldblum's character, Dr. Ian Malcolm. Additionally, there is a drop that introduces Tomb Raider to the trading card game. This drop includes a unique creature card depicting the iconic character, Lara Croft.
Secret Lair drops continue to expand their video game franchise collection with the addition of Tomb Raider. In 2022, popular franchises like Street Fighter and Fortnite also received their own Secret Lair drops. Joining the roster of movie-themed Secret Lair drops are Jurassic World, which is also featured in the recent Lost Caversn Of Ixalan expansion, as well as Evil Dead, The Princess Bride, and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
To provide more information for each drop, we have compiled a list of details that includes images of the cards and the overarching theme. These drops are now available on the official MTG Secret Lair website, offering both foil and non-foil variants. You have the option to choose individual drops or take advantage of bundle deals for discounted prices.
