Mady Gosselin Makes Startling Revelations About Brother Colin, Unearthing a Troubling Family Secret

Mady Gosselin recently addressed the reason behind her estrangement from her brother Collin Gosselin. This comes after he discussed their family dynamics in a new docuseries. Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 19, Mady, 22, shared a rare statement in response to the hate messages she has been receiving lately. She explained that despite her intention to maintain her brother's privacy after their family's TV show, she felt compelled to speak up and set the record straight.

Mady disclosed that her recent experiences with Collin, 19, have reached a turning point. She emphasized, "I am not obligated to support anyone who has physically threatened me or my immediate family, including incidents that occurred as recently as last year." Additionally, she asserted, "I will never allow anyone who displays hateful or violent behavior towards individuals based on their race, gender identity, or religious beliefs to have a presence in my life."

Expounding on her stance, Mady added, "Kindness, tolerance, love, and acceptance are fundamental values that I hold dear, and I am unwilling to compromise them for ANYONE, including my brother Collin, who has unfortunately made his stance abundantly clear in private conversations."

In the lengthy statement, Mady said she doesn’t expect to rebuild her relationship with Collin in the future.

After experiencing physical violence and hate speech, I have decided that there is no possibility of restoring relationships with anyone in my life. I cannot provide further insight into Collin's actions, but I can attest to witnessing them. Over the past few days, I have received numerous hurtful messages from countless individuals who are unaware of the complete truth about our experiences. I kindly request peace, privacy, and an end to the hate mail moving forward.

In 2007, the siblings gained prominence with the release of Jon & Kate Plus 8, a show that ran for 11 seasons. Recently, Collin criticized our mother, Kate Gosselin, in Vice's Dark Side of the 2000s.

“I was about to inform my teachers about my mother, but before I proceed, can I use the term ‘abusive’ without any restrictions on air?” he questioned in the latest episode aired on Wednesday. “This is actually the reason why she sent me away. I had just begun disclosing the truth about the situation at home, and she got wind of it and had to place me somewhere secure to ensure the secrets wouldn't be revealed.”

After a brief stay at Fairmont Behavioral Health in 2016, Collin Gosselin was raised by his father Jon Gosselin. Reflecting on his time at the facility, Collin shared the intense emotional challenge he experienced before being taken in by Jon. He expressed, "It was an extremely dark and lonely period. I solely relied on myself without any support system. The fear and confusion were overwhelming."

Kate, who is 48 years old, and Jon, who is 46 years old, became the proud parents of twins named Madelyn and Cara in the year 2000. Four years later, they were blessed with sextuplets named Collin, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah, and Jo.

Following ten years of marriage, Kate and Jon ended their relationship in 2009 and initiated a custody battle over their children. Jon became the primary caretaker for Hannah and Collin until they reached the age of 18. However, he has been distant from his other children for a number of years.

Kate, for her part, previously denied Collin’s claims about her treatment toward him, according to the Vice doc.
