The anime adaptation was initially revealed on June 7, 2023, and fans can now eagerly anticipate its upcoming debut.

Anime fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of new shows and seasons scheduled for release in Spring 2024, including the highly anticipated rom-com: A Condition Called Love. The official anime Twitter account announced on November 8 that the first episodes will premiere in April 2024, along with new character visuals and details of two cast members.

A Condition Called Love plot

A Condition Called Love, based on the manga of the same name by Megumi Morino, who is also known for Wake Up, Sleeping Beauty, explores the somewhat unconventional relationship between high schoolers Hotaru Hinase and Hanamoi Saki.

Cast & crew

Hotaru, a young girl who lacks understanding of love, witnesses Hananoi, a hopeless romantic, being publicly dumped and offers him her umbrella for shelter from the snow. This marks the beginning of their unexpectedly relatable story about two teenagers as they uncover the genuine meaning of love.

The announcement also included the release of two new character visuals for the main characters of the show. Renowned voice actress Kana Hanazawa, famous for her role as Akane Tsunemori in Psycho-Pass, will voice the 16-year-old Hotaru Hinase. Joining her is the talented Chiaki Kobayashi, known for voicing Gabimaru in Hell's Paradise, as the character Hanamoi Saki.

Is there a trailer?

The relatively new studio East Fish Studio is responsible for producing the anime. Although it doesn't have a large number of projects yet, it is gaining recognition for its slice-of-life series and romantic comedies like Ten Count and Fragtime.

@hananoikun_pr announced on their official Twitter that the anime series will be airing every Thursday at 11:56 starting in April 2024, alongside the release of the trailer.
