Lori Harvey and boyfriend Damon Idris have called it quits after less than one year of dating.
"We have reached a point in our lives where we must focus fully on our individual journeys, requiring our unwavering attention and commitment," stated the pair in a joint declaration to The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, November 7. "While parting ways, we remain close friends and hold nothing but love and respect for one another, cherishing the time we spent together."
The speculation of a split between Harvey, 26, and Idris, 32, arose earlier this week as fans noticed that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed all photos of their relationship. Additionally, a source exclusively revealed to We that the pair arrived separately and departed individually from Odell Beckham Jr's 90's-themed 31st birthday celebration on Monday, November 6.
In December 2022, the couple sparked romance rumors after being seen together following Harvey's breakup with Michael B. Jordan. They later made their relationship official on Instagram just one month later, and made their red carpet debut at the season 6 premiere of Idris' show Snowfall in February. During the same month, when a troll claimed they had no chemistry based on a photo of them standing far apart at an event, Harvey defended their relationship by explaining that she had body makeup on and didn't want it to transfer onto Idris' suit. She responded to the criticism on Instagram, stating, "Or maybe I just had on body makeup and told him don't stand too close to me because I didn't want to get it on his suit lol. Yall try to find a problem with everything."
In May, an informant exclusively revealed to Us that Harvey and Idris were both completely infatuated with each other, with Harvey aspiring to become the next influential duo in Hollywood.

Harvey gained attention for her previous relationship with Jordan, 36, whom she dated for nearly two years before officially ending things in June 2022, as confirmed by Us. During that time, Harvey openly discussed the influence her parents, Marjorie Elaine Harvey and Steve Harvey, had on her views on love and relationship dynamics.
In an exclusive interview with Us, she expressed admiration for her parents' bond, stating, "They are the epitome of the ideal couple for me. Just earlier today, I was speaking to my mom on the phone and she shared details about the anniversary present she got for my dad tomorrow. It made me realize, 'Wow, you two are truly relationship goals.' That's the kind of partnership I aspire to have one day."
Two months later, she disclosed her desire for a partner who values "transparency, openness, and communication."
Reflecting on a previous relationship, she admitted to feeling uncertain about her own identity and preferences, and confessed to a lack of life experience. On Bumble's Luv2SeeIt YouTube series, she shared, "So, I made the decision to date on my own terms. I will pursue my own desires and make my own choices. And if a relationship no longer fulfills me, I will gracefully move on."
