Lore-Based Genshin Impact Teams Go Global

Genshin Impact enthusiasts formulate numerous international team compositions inspired by the game's extensive lore and character traits, showcasing the game's diverse and intricate gameplay mechanics

A chart created by a fan of Genshin Impact showcases several international team compositions that are possible with the current roster. The combat system allows players to create squads of up to four characters, and these Travelers can utilize the unique elemental abilities of each character to trigger elemental reactions. Team compositions in Genshin Impact are named after the elemental reactions they produce, as well as their region or rarity. One such team, the National team, is named after the Chinese community and features characters from the Liyue region, which is inspired by China.

Sumeru's introduction in Genshin Impact has enabled players to create "international teams" featuring characters from different regions. Reddit user MinervaLlorn has come up with 11 such teams, each comprising characters who share similar personalities or lore. One such team is The Debt Team, featuring Mona, Zhongli, Thoma, and Kaveh, all of whom are notorious for their poor money management skills. Even Zhongli, the Archon of the Liyue region, has to borrow Mora from his friends, including the Traveler. Another team is The Sherlock Team, consisting of four characters with excellent investigative abilities, led by Shikanoin Heizou, who is considered one of the best detectives in Inazuma. Fans adore The Hehe Team, made up of hilarious characters who always have a joke up their sleeves. The Anti-Hehe Team, on the other hand, is known for their serious demeanor.

Diluc and Tighnari are likely to be the primary damage dealers of this team, while Raiden Shogun and Chongyun would function as support characters. With a combination of Candace's and Kokomi's Hydro elements and Ganyu's Cryo element, the Overtime team is capable of triggering Frozen elemental reactions. In addition to her healing abilities, Jean can also weaken enemies' resistance with Swirl. Overall, the Overtime team is considered one of the strongest parties in the current meta.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
