English Premier League club Liverpool has reportedly identified Jurgen Klopp's replacement.
Multiple reports suggest that the club has reached a compensation agreement with Dutch club Feyenoord for Arne Slot to take over as the new manager.
In late January, Klopp announced he would be leaving his position as Liverpool's manager at the end of the current season. The 56-year-old has been with the team since 2015, leading them to a UEFA Champions League victory in 2019 and a Premier League win in 2020 - the first in 30 years for the club.
Slot expressed his desire to join Liverpool, stating, "It's clear to me that I would like to go to Liverpool. Now, I'm waiting to see if the clubs can come to an agreement. I'm feeling very confident about it."
The 45-year-old Dutchman, known for nurturing young talent and playing an entertaining style of football, successfully led Feyenoord to win the Dutch league title last season, clinch the Dutch Cup this season, and reach the 2022 Conference League final.
CNN has contacted Liverpool for their response.
