Kudrow posted a throwback from Friends’ pilot to honor Perry
In a lengthy Instagram post, Kudrow explained how much Perry’s friendship meant to her and thanked him endlessly for what he brought into her life.
After shooting the pilot, Friends Like Us, we were thrilled when it got picked up and immediately found ourselves at the NBC Upfronts. It was during this time that you suggested we play poker, and it turned out to be so much fun. This was when our bond truly began.
I want to express my gratitude to you for making me laugh so hard that my muscles ached and tears streamed down my face every single day. It meant the world to me.
Thank you, not only for your open heart in our six-way relationship that required compromise and constant communication, but also for always showing up at work even when you weren't feeling well. Your brilliance never faltered.
Those ten years we spent together were the best I could have asked for. Thank you for trusting me and for teaching me about grace and love through our friendship. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Matthew.

In her post, Kudrow subtly referred to Perry's courageous battle with addiction, a feat that Perry was deeply committed to conquering and openly discussed during panel discussions and in his memoir.
Kudrow's tribute, like those of her other co-stars from Friends, showcased the strong bond between the pair. Perry reciprocated by referring to her as the "second funniest cast member" of Friends, placing himself in the lead. For more TV and movie coverage by Dexerto, click here.

As a Gen Z fan, I grew up watching Friends and it was one of my favorite shows. I loved the characters and the relationships they had with each other. I think Lisa Kudrow's tribute to Matthew Perry is beautiful and heartfelt. It's clear that they had a close friendship and that she admired him both as a person and as an actor.
I also appreciate that she acknowledged his struggles with addiction and how he was always open about them. I think it's important to talk about these issues and to show that it's okay to ask for help. Overall, I think Kudrow's tribute is a fitting way to honor Perry's memory and to celebrate his life and career.
