The Day of the Dead is a micro-holiday event that follows the larger Hallow's End celebration in World of Warcraft. Taking inspiration from the real-life Mexican holiday with the same name, the Day of the Dead festivities offer players the chance to earn achievements, obtain costumes, and acquire a battle pet.

How long is the Day of the Dead armor available?

This year, World of Warcraft introduced an exciting addition to the Day of the Dead lineup. The Day of the Dead armor offers players a unique customization option for the Cliffside Wylderdrake, allowing them to ride the majestic dragon with style. This remarkable saddle features numerous candles, vibrant marigold flowers, and ornate sugar skulls, making it an indispensable item for avid collectors. To acquire this awe-inspiring Dragonriding customization, players can purchase it from Chapman, the Day of the Dead event vendor located in the graveyard of every capital city within the World of Warcraft. However, it is important to note that this exclusive offer is only available until November 3rd.

The Day of the Dead armor is available until November 3.

This is the fifth holiday-themed Dragonriding barding that World of Warcraft has added recently. A similar customization was available for purchase on Pirate's Day in September, and others were made available for Noblegarden, Brewfest, and Hallow's End as well. However, the ones for Brewfest and Hallow's End were rare drops from the event's instance bosses, making them more difficult to obtain compared to the Day of the Dead barding. Players have already discovered a Winter Veil-themed barding set, indicating that it will likely be released around Christmas.

In addition to the Dragonriding customization, players can also purchase five different Contender's Costume toys for 100 Gold each. These toys transform players into luchador fighters, allowing them to duel others who have the matching toys. Winning these fights earns progress towards obtaining the Trading Post rewards for November in World of Warcraft, as well as the first of three achievements that can be earned using the costumes.

Players can also accept a quest called The Grateful Dead. To begin the quest, players must offer an Orange Marigold at the graveyard. Once the quest is accepted, players need to craft the Bread of the Dead, a simple recipe made using Cooking, and deliver it to the NPC. Completing this task not only rewards players with the Macabre Marionette battle pet, but also grants them additional progress towards earning their Trader's Tender allowance for November.

Editor's P/S

As a hard fan of World of Warcraft, I am thrilled about the new Dragonriding armor. The developers have done an incredible job of capturing the spirit of the Day of the Dead holiday with this unique customization option. The saddle is adorned with candles, marigold flowers, and sugar skulls, all of which are traditional symbols of the holiday. I can't wait to show off my new ride to my friends and fellow players.

In addition to the Dragonriding armor, I'm also excited about the other Day of the Dead content that has been added to the game. The Contender's Costume toys are a fun way to celebrate the holiday, and the Grateful Dead quest is a great way to earn some extra rewards. Overall, I'm very happy with the way Blizzard has implemented the Day of the Dead holiday into World of Warcraft. It's clear that they put a lot of thought and effort into making this a memorable experience for players.
