The remarkable robot caught the attention of social media users after another player showcased their own impressive Tears of the Kingdom goose-shaped mech.

Pilotable machines have been a popular topic among the Tears of the Kingdom community ever since the release of the new Zelda game in mid-May. In addition to providing improved mobility, mechs are also capable of carrying powerful Zonai weapons, making them one of the most versatile vehicles that players can create in the game.

Although many robots created by fans have displayed remarkable agility, none were able to walk on water - until divlogue, a Reddit user, successfully invented such a machine. After completing a speedy Tears of the Kingdom unicycle design, this resourceful player discovered that they could utilize one of the game's buoyant components to construct a mech that can walk on water.

The design's key feature consists of two floating balls that can be acquired from Tears of the Kingdom Jonsau Shrine in the Lanayru region. By combining these balls with a Zonai Spring, the divlogue team has managed to create legs that demonstrate remarkable resistance to sinking. In addition to the two wheel-powered hips, this impressive machine utilizes a back-mounted propeller for increased acceleration. Obtaining this particular propeller, however, proves to be quite rare, as it can only be found in the Gemimik Shrine located in Eastern Hyrule.

The electricity-infused carts that form the mech's torso serve as a defense mechanism and are not necessary for replicating the robot's water-walking ability. Nevertheless, the electrical emissions emitted by these carts are highly effective against all aquatic enemies in the Tears of the Kingdom. The brilliant engineer behind this groundbreaking creation has theorized that replacing the mech's spring-loaded feet with metal boxes may even enable it to conduct electricity underwater. However, this theory has yet to be tested.

To try this design, players will need to visit the mentioned shrines to acquire the necessary components. Obtaining unique objects, such as propellers and floating balls, from these shrines is a straightforward process of fusing them to a weapon or shield. Afterward, players should visit Pelison, a helpful Goron in Tarrey Town, who can undo the fusion and preserve both items for a fee of 20 rupees.
