Super Mario Bros. Wonder revolutionized the Mario franchise by introducing Standees, a new game mechanic. The game also incorporates online features that encourage players to assist others in the community, even if they are not playing together. In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, players have the ability to revive ghost players by simply touching them, or strategically place Standees in challenging areas to create a spawn point for other players in case they lose a life.
This comprehensive guide provides fans with all the necessary information about Standees in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, including instructions on how to place Standees, unlock additional ones, and customize their appearance.
How to Place a Standee

When players place a Standee, their previous one will automatically be replaced.
While it is possible to place a Standee while offline, it is more beneficial to do so when the player is connected to the internet. This allows gamers from around the world to interact with the Standee and use it as a respawn point if they are knocked out while playing a course.
How to Get Different Standees
There are a total of 144 Standees available in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The game features 12 playable characters, with each character having their own unique set of Standees. There are also 12 different pose variations for the Standees. Players will need to unlock all of these pose variations for all characters in order to access the different Standees.
Initially, players will start the game with access to each character's Jumping Standee. However, they will need to unlock the other Standees on their own. To obtain the remaining 132 Standees in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, players must purchase the Standee Surprise item from one of Poplin's Shops. This item is available for just 10 Flower Coins and contains a random Standee.
To obtain all available Standees, players must accumulate a substantial amount of Flower Coins. A minimum of 1,320 Flower Coins is required to unlock the complete Super Mario Bros. Wonder Standee collection. However, this number may increase significantly due to the possibility of receiving duplicate Standees from a Standee Surprise.
To view their Standee collection, players can access the Main Menu and select the Standees option.
How to Change Standees
Gamers may have a preference for a specific Standee, but they are unable to select which one will appear when placing it during gameplay. Therefore, manual changes to the Standee selection are not an option for players.
As gamers utilize Standees, they will rotate in a random manner. For instance, if the player is using Nabbit, a random Nabbit Standee will be chosen every time a Standee is placed. To experience a wider range of Standees, gamers should strive to collect all the available options.
This guide will be updated in the near future with a list of all Standees available in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
