RwanLink, a YouTube user, uploaded a viral video to their channel featuring an anime-inspired child version of Link exploring the enchanting Castle Town in Hyrule, beautifully rendered with vibrant colors and nature scenes reminiscent of Studio Ghibli's distinctive style. The video serves as a teaser for a much larger animated project, slated for release on Nov. 21, offering a more extensive glimpse into the wondrous Ghibli rendition of Hyrule.

The video showcases scenes and events from the renowned game, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which was originally released on the Nintendo 64 in 1998 to widespread critical acclaim. It is still regarded as one of the greatest games of all time. The game received a remastered version on the Nintendo 3DS in 2011 and is also available on the Nintendo Switch through the platform's Nintendo Switch Online subscription. However, Nintendo has not yet undertaken a complete remake or reimagining of the game themselves.

RwanLink, a 3D visual artist and online content creator, is an avid fan of the Legend of Zelda series by Nintendo. Their entire online presence revolves around this iconic action-adventure game. Despite having a modest following of just over 9,000 on X (formerly Twitter), the artist's video on YouTube garnered over 500,000 views and received numerous praises from fans. These fans greatly admired the artist's interpretation of a Zelda game inspired by Studio Ghibli, a renowned Japanese film studio.

Founded in 1986, Studio Ghibli is dedicated to creating state-of-the-art hand-drawn animated films. These movies are often crafted by the talented Hayao Miyazaki, an Oscar-winning writer and director closely associated with the studio's most famous works like Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. While Studio Ghibli has dabbled in video games, such as their involvement in the JRPG title Ni No Kuni, their primary focus is on crafting films based on folklore or original concepts, rather than adapting existing franchises.

Despite fans' pleas for a Studio Ghibli adaptation of Zelda following RwanLink's video, there are rumors suggesting that Nintendo is working on its own adaptation of the franchise, inspired by the success of the Super Mario Bros. Movie. However, Nintendo has not officially announced any plans for a film or series based on the Zelda franchise at this moment.
