Leah McSweeney’s team is responding to the support Andy Cohen is receiving from other Housewives in their legal fight.

In a statement on Tuesday, March 12, McSweeney’s lawyer, Gary Adelman, mentioned that more lawsuits are on the way and more individuals will come forward. It doesn't matter if people believe Andy Cohen is a good person or expect certain behaviors.

Adelman wrapped up by saying, "Ultimately, it will be up to the law to decide. We are confident that the law will see this as unjust."

On February 27, McSweeney, who is 41 years old, took legal action against Cohen, who is 55 years old, Bravo, NBC/Universal, production company Shed Media U, and producers John Paparazzo, Lisa Shannon, and Darren Ward.

Former Real Housewives of New York City star, Leah McSweeney, recently made allegations against Andy Cohen, stating that he was involved in cocaine use with members of The Real Housewives franchises. She also accused the network and its executives of fostering a hazardous work environment that promotes substance abuse. McSweeney expressed feeling pressured to drink during her time on RHONY, despite her previous years of sobriety. (McSweeney appeared on RHONY from 2020 to 2021, participating in two seasons of the show. Her decision to drink again was captured during season 12, but she chose not to drink during her second season of RHONY and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.)

Several Housewives, including Luann de Lesseps, Margaret Josephs, and Guerdy Abraira, have come forward to defend Andy Cohen against these allegations.

Cohen responded to the claims by stating they were "completely false" in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on February 28. Following this, his lawyer sent a letter to McSweeney's legal team, which was obtained by Page Six on March 7. The letter stated that the lawsuit contained "false, offensive, and defamatory statements."

In the letter, Cohen's lawyer emphasized that "Mr. Cohen never used cocaine with any cast member on any 'Real Housewives' show or with any other Bravo employee." The lawyer also highlighted that an accusation of drug use in the workplace is a serious matter.

Cohen’s lawyers quickly requested that the allegations of cocaine use be retracted without delay.

In response to Cohen's request, McSweeney's legal team issued a statement on March 7, stating that they have no plans to discuss the issue publicly.

It comes as no surprise that Andy Cohen had his lawyers and PR team draft a threatening letter to give to the media. This is a common tactic for him, using his influence in the media to intimidate people like Ms. McSweeney into silence. The statement emphasizes that Mr. Cohen's actions are aimed at discrediting and intimidating Ms. McSweeney in order to prevent her from exercising her legal rights in court. This only serves as more evidence of the retaliation that this lawsuit aims to address.

The legal battle between Leah McSweeney and Andy Cohen, involving allegations of cocaine use and a toxic work environment, has taken a turn with Cohen's team receiving support from other Housewives. While Cohen denies the accusations, McSweeney's lawyer insists that more individuals will come forward and that the law will ultimately determine the truth.

The allegations expose a larger issue within the entertainment industry, where substance abuse and workplace misconduct can go unchecked.
