Latto's Jaw-Dropping Hair Transformation Stuns at the 2023 BET Awards!

Latto had two goals in mind for the 2023 BET Awards: to wow everyone with her hair and to secure a memorable victory. And true to her intentions, the rapper accomplished both with finesse. Ashanti Lation, Latto's talented hairstylist, revealed to We exclusively the secrets behind this remarkable achievement.

"We had the intention of creating a striking hairdo with immense volume for the red carpet," Lation stated to Us following the awards show on Sunday, June 25. Latto, aged 24, claimed the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist accolade and also won Best Collaboration for her track "Big Energy," featuring Mariah Carey.

In her acceptance speech, Latto exclaimed, "I won't shed tears this year, but I want to give thanks to God and acknowledge all the other women in this category, as well as the trailblazing women who made this achievement possible. This category is truly exceptional this year."

Latto looked stunning as she walked the pink carpet at the event, wearing a revealing sheer gown designed by Mônot. The gown featured a daring thigh-high slit, adding to her confident and sexy look. She accessorized the outfit with layered necklaces and elegant black sandal heels. Her voluminous locks were styled in bouncy waves, parted to the side to highlight her signature blonde strands. Latio achieved this look using the Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler with the 1.2-inch attachment. She explained that she wanted a hairstyle that embodied her larger-than-life persona, bringing a powerful energy to the stage and representing her significant nomination and subsequent victory.

On stage, the style was maintained as she passionately performed her popular song "Put It On Da Floor." The Sunday soirée, held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, showcased outstanding performances by Quavo, Offset, Ice Spice, Glorilla, Lil Uzi Vert, and Patti LaBelle. The event also paid tribute to Busta Rhymes, who received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
