The new season is scheduled to premiere in 2024, marking a shift from C-Station to 8-Bit studios as the animation studio. Excitingly, Shin Tosaka takes on the helm as the new director for the series, while series composition is now in the capable hands of Masafumi Sugiura. Introducing Hisanori Hashimoto, the talented individual who will bring the characters to life as the new character designer. Additionally, Aiyuki Tateyama returns as the ever-impressive composer, and we can look forward to the expert touch of Takeshi Takadera, who resumes his role as sound director for the series.

Laid-Back Camp's first season debuted in January 2018, streaming internationally on Crunchyroll while airing in Japan. Crunchyroll also created an English dubbed version. The second season premiered in January 2021. A manga-based anime film premiered in Japanese theaters in July 2022 and began streaming on Crunchyroll in November of the same year. Additionally, a live-action adaptation of the manga premiered in January 2019.
The story revolves around Rin Shima, a high school girl who enjoys solo camping. After meeting Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Rin is inspired to join the school's camping club. Together with classmates Chiaki Ogaki and Aoi Inuyama, they embark on camping trips across Japan and cherish their daily lives. The manga series recently released its 14th volume in Japan in November 2022, with the 13th English version published in April 2023.
