Kym Johnson and her husband Robert Herjavec, known from Dancing With the Stars, are busy taking care of their 5-year-old twins. There's a friendly rivalry between Hudson and Haven that keeps the reality star parents on their toes.

"We divide and conquer," Johnson, 47, shared exclusively with We about how they handle parenting their twins. "With twins, they are always competing with each other."

Johnson, who stars in Lifetime's new TV movie Hunting Housewives, shared that every morning, she and her partner encourage their children to start the day early with a learning activity. The "struggle" is real, she admitted.

The couple has their kids participate in the Kumon learning program every morning at 6:37 a.m. Johnson described it as a challenge because the children try to complete the tasks quickly, turning it into a competition. She emphasized the importance of teaching them that not everything is a competition between siblings.

The former Dancing With the Stars pro, who married 61-year-old Herjavec in 2016, shared with Us that her kids are very close despite the competitions.

“We’ve set up separate bedrooms for them, but they prefer to be together all the time. It’s really sweet, you know? Which is adorable,” Johnson revealed. However, she also admitted that the twins' strong bond at bedtime does present some challenges for parenting.

“They usually end up sneaking into our bed, so that has been a bit of a struggle for us. When they were younger, we were good about having them sleep in their own rooms, but now they tend to come in during the middle of the night.”

Johnson confessed that she and Herjavec have fallen into a bad habit of giving in, which hasn't been great.

Despite the lack of sleep, Johnson is finding joy in the victories of parenting and cherishing every moment with her young children, including their newfound interests.

"We went skiing during the Christmas holidays. I'm not the best skier, but both kids had lessons and did really well on the slopes," she shared. "They were zooming down the easy runs, completing the whole course."

Johnson chuckled, "They did awesome. Since they're close to the ground, their balance was spot on."

The twins, born in April 2018, have started to show their unique personalities. Their mom mentioned that they are really coming into their own and have funny traits.

One of the twins, Hudson, has a passion for singing. He dreams of becoming a Kidz Bop singer and enjoys watching music videos. His mom shared that he is currently taking singing lessons to pursue his dream.

Hudson enjoys playing soccer and practicing tae kwon do, while his sister Haven seems to be taking after their mom.

Johnson proudly shared, "Haven is a talented dancer, gymnast, and singer. We believe in letting them explore different activities and not pushing them into anything until they are truly passionate about it. Our goal is for them to have a fun and fulfilling childhood."

Johnson, like her children, has become a jack of all trades since leaving DWTS in 2017. She has ventured into acting, with her most recent role being Joli Symons in Lifetime's Hunting Housewives.

Describing her character, Johnson mentioned that it is like the ultimate girls' trip gone awry. She added that her character has a great sense of humor and a touch of princess-like demeanor, while also possessing some depth.

The movie also features Denise Richards, Melyssa Ford, and NeNe Leakes, according to the actress. She mentioned that the film has a strong element of girl power and pays tribute to the popular Real Housewives series.

When asked about her experience working on the movie, Johnson described it as funny and campy. She praised her co-stars, including Denise Richards, as talented actors whom she enjoyed bonding with during lunch breaks. Johnson was especially impressed by Richards' professionalism and performance on set.

Johnson shared a memorable experience while filming a campfire scene with Richards. She was impressed by Richards' emotional performance, which made her forget her own lines. Johnson praised Richards' acting skills and mentioned how much she learned from working with her.

Don't miss Hunting Housewives on Lifetime this Saturday, March 9, at 8 p.m. ET.
