Kylie Jenner stole the spotlight at the 2024 Met Gala. The 26-year-old reality star looked stunning on Monday, May 6, in a custom strapless gown by Oscar de la Renta. The form-fitting dress had a pointed bust, cinched waist, and a mid-length train. She completed her look with white pumps and a chic rose-adorned updo. Her makeup included rosy pink blush, black eyeliner, and glossy lips.

Jenner has been to the Met Gala seven times. Her first time was in 2016, wearing a stunning gown by Balmain. Since then, her Met Gala outfits have always been impressive.

During an interview with the Wall Street Journal in October 2023, Jenner mentioned that out of all the iconic Met Gala looks she has worn, there is one that she considers the most memorable.

One of my most unforgettable moments and favorite outfits is my purple Versace dress. I wore it to the Met Gala in 2019. The stunning gown had a partially see-through strapless design with intricate purple feather accents at the hem. I also wore matching oversized feather sleeves to complete the look. To add a finishing touch, I styled it with a chic purple wig.

Jenner shared, "A lot of my fans love to repost that look because it's just iconic. I don't usually wear purple, so it's like my one big purple moment."

This year's Met Gala theme is "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" with a dress code of "The Garden of Time."

In a Vogue interview in November 2023, Max Hollein, the CEO and Director of the Met, mentioned that the exhibit, showcasing around 250 garments, aimed to expand our creativity.

He explained that "Sleeping Beauties" aims to enhance our connection with these amazing fashion pieces by capturing their essence - how they feel, move, sound, smell, and interact when worn.
