Kylie Jenner Reveals Hiring Security Only After Becoming Pregnant With Daughter Stormi
Kylie Jenner reveals her decision to hire security only when she became pregnant with daughter Stormi, shedding light on the changes motherhood brought to her life

Kylie Jenner admitted to Jennifer Lawrence in a recent Interview Magazine profile that her feelings about security changed after getting pregnant. "I was young when I got pregnant, but I never had security until I got pregnant," the 26-year-old said. "I have two security guards on rotation for them, and they have been with me for five-plus years."
Jenner and her former partner Travis Scott became parents to their daughter, Stormi, in February 2018. Their son, Aire, became a part of their family in February 2022.
At first, the 33-year-old Lawrence was concerned that she was being too intrusive, but she was sincerely interested in knowing how Jenner's children responded to security measures.
Jenner had no problem responding to the question, stating that Stormi, 5, is “well-acquainted” with her security team, and that she, as the founder of Kylie Cosmetics, feels “at ease” with it.
“She really cares for them. I always ask my security to not be too firm, so they can have a good bond,” Jenner commented on her daughter. “I’m also trying to understand it because I didn't have security when I was growing up, so I don't know what that's like, but I try to make it as normal and friendly as possible.”
Lawrence confessed to having a similar experience when it came to introducing security to her child. She and her husband, Cooke Maroney, welcomed son Cy in February 2022.
"I didn't prioritize security much before having a child. But once I became a mother, my intrusive thoughts and anxiety made me want to have security around all the time," Lawrence revealed. At first, she was unsure how to incorporate a security guard into her daily life.
“Before I hired them, I had this idea that I wanted them to be invisible,” Lawrence remarked. “I didn’t want my kid to see you or know you. But once they started working for us, it’s like, ‘Wait a minute. This is someone in our lives. They’re helping us out.’”
Jenner shares the same philosophy when it comes to her businesses, involving her kids in the process. Aire might be “too young to know what’s going on” just yet, but Jenner enjoys keeping Stormi informed and involved.

Jenner expressed, "I enjoy displaying to her that my name is on the lipstick. I often say, 'This is Mommy's lipstick. Your mom is really cool.'"
Before releasing her Khy clothing line earlier this month, she informed Stormi, "Mommy now designs clothes."
"I have my Khy collection coming out, and I've created mini-versions of all the pieces from our first line for her," she explained. "I enjoy involving her in everything I do, and I always make special things just for her."
