'Kung Fu Panda 4' brings back the laughs with a delightful twist

Experience the slick and brisk pace of 'Kung Fu Panda 4' as it pays homage to its origins while delivering plenty of laughs and fun for both parents and their little ones.

16 years have passed since the original "Kung Fu Panda" movie, and it has been eight years since the last sequel. Despite the long wait, "Kung Fu Panda 4" benefits from the pent-up demand and the fact that animated characters do not age. The film is fast-paced and entertaining, blending elements from the previous movies while providing plenty of laughs for both parents and kids.

DreamWorks' popular franchise tells the story of Po, a lovable character voiced by Jack Black, who goes from a humble beginning to becoming the Dragon Warrior. The first movie introduced a great villain in Tai Lung, played by Ian McShane. While the sequels were enjoyable, they did not quite reach the same level of impact as the original film.

This time, Po is enjoying the perks of being a respected figure. He even uses his status to help his adoptive dad and birth dad, Ping and Li (played by James Hong and Bryan Cranston), in their endeavors. However, a new threat emerges in the form of The Chameleon (portrayed by Viola Davis), a powerful sorceress with sinister intentions that put the Valley of Peace at risk.

Master Shifu (played by Dustin Hoffman) surprises Po with a new task - to find and train a successor. Po is hesitant to pass on his responsibilities and is preoccupied with dealing with the latest threat. To make matters more complicated, a quick-witted thief named Zhen (played by Awkwafina) offers to help Po locate the Chameleon's hideout.
