Kristen Wiig is finally a member of the Saturday Night Live Five-Timers Club, even if she wasn’t presented with a jacket from past honorees.
I am thrilled to be back and super excited because this is my fifth time hosting. I am officially a member of the Five-Timers Club. Oh, by the way, I haven't said 'hi' to the band yet. Can I quickly do that?" Wiig, who is 50 years old, started her opening monologue on Saturday, April 6. "I must say, as a former cast member, it is really special for me to be here as a Five-Timer."
Wiig's introduction was promptly interrupted by fellow Five-Timer Paul Rudd, who was sitting in the audience wearing his membership jacket.
"Hey, Kristen! It's really exciting, right? Tonight you'll be receiving your Five-Timers jacket. Check out mine! I heard a rumor that there might be a Five-Timer sketch with cool celebrity appearances. Do you have a script for that?"
Wiig gently informed Rudd that she doesn't think they are doing that particular skit for the episode. She then spent the rest of her monologue answering questions from other famous guests.

"Hey there! I used to work as a writer here, but tonight I'm here as an audience member. It's funny because she's going to act like she doesn't know me," Paula Pell chuckled. "I find it really cute that you're looking forward to getting a Five-Timers jacket. But just so you know, they pretty much give those out to everyone, like free maxi pads."
Wiig was taken aback by Pell’s remarks, wondering if the once-coveted Five-Timers blazer has become a consolation prize to anyone who hosted the show at all. Enter: Matt Damon.
"Hey Kristen! I'm a big fan and just wanted to say that I grew up watching you on SNL," Damon said jokingly. He was wearing a Five-Timers coat even though he had only hosted the show twice.
Damon explained why he was wearing the coat, saying, "Lorne Michaels told me that my first time hosting was so good, it counted for three, and the second time was not as good, which only counted for two. But in my math, that adds up to five, baby!"
Wiig, however, appeared disappointed that her fifth time hosting the show wasn't as memorable as she had hoped.
She expressed her feelings, saying, "I've hosted five times. I feel like I deserve more recognition. Doesn't this jacket mean anything anymore?"
The camera then panned to Michaels, the show’s longtime executive producer, standing beside Martin Short, Will Forte, Jon Hamm and Fred Armisen all wearing Five-Timers coats.

“Wait, are you all getting jackets, too? None of you even hosted five times!” Wiig lamented, before Forte, 53, explained that they met the quota collectively.
As the Bridesmaids actress tried to hide her disappointment, Damon, 53, wanted to make her feel better.
“You know what, you’re right, I feel bad. I should probably give you my jacket,” Damon said. “I mean I came back and did a bunch of cameos. I did the [Brett] Cavanaugh thing, remember the Cavanaugh thing? That was … no really?,” he continued as he was handed another “5” robe. “Oh my God, I get a jacket for that? Just for a cameo. That’s excessive, I don’t even want it; I’ll give it to one of my kids.”
He added, “Look, Kristen, you should really feel proud of yourself. Did you know that you’re the youngest member of the Five-Timers Club?”
Wiig pointed out to Damon that Emma Stone is the youngest member and recently got her jacket.
Afterwards, Damon, Rudd, and the other guests joined Wiig on stage to sing a cover of "This Is Your Night." They adjusted the lyrics to match her famous SNL characters like Gilly and Target Lady. Forte abruptly stopped the performance when he spotted Ryan Gosling standing next to Michaels, who is 79 years old.

Gosling, 43, expressed his uncertainty, stating that he hasn't even hosted three times yet and finding it unfair. He was handed a robe by the prolific SNL showrunner.
Without hesitation, Gosling took the stage and placed an additional jacket around Wiig's shoulders, carefully dusting off the fabric with a lint roller.
In Saturday's episode, Wiig brought back her "Weekend Update" character Aunt Linda to talk about Barbie, Oppenheimer, and The Bear. RAYE also performed in this episode.
Later on, Rudd, Hamm, Wiig, and Kaia Gerber from Palm Royale appeared in different sketches for cameos.
Saturday Night Live airs on NBC Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET.
Editor's P/S:
Kristen Wiig's fifth time hosting "Saturday Night Live" was a bittersweet experience. While she was excited to join the prestigious "Five-Timers Club," her expectations of receiving a commemorative jacket were dashed. The revelation that the once-coveted blazer had become a commonplace item, given out to hosts with as few as two appearances, left her feeling disappointed. However, the support of her fellow Five-Timers, including Paul Rudd and Matt Damon, who offered her their jackets, served as a consolation.
The episode also highlighted the changing landscape of the show, with the Five-Timers Club no longer an exclusive honor. The inclusion of non-hosts Damon and Gosling, who received jackets for their cameos, reflected the evolving nature of "SNL" and its recognition of contributions beyond hosting. Despite her initial disappointment, Wiig's performance as Aunt Linda and the cameos from Rudd, Hamm, and Gerber demonstrated her enduring comedic talent and her place as a beloved member of the "SNL" family.
