Kris Jenner Upset by Kourtney Kardashian's Surprise Pregnancy Announcement
Kris Jenner was reportedly upset to learn about her daughter Kourtney Kardashian's pregnancy announcement through the news, without any prior notice
Kris Jenner had no clue that her daughter Kourtney Kardashian was going to announce her pregnancy at a Blink-182 concert until she saw it in the news. On the season 4 finale of The Kardashians, which aired on Thursday, November 30th on Hulu, a producer asked Kris, 68, and Khloé Kardashian if they were happy with how Kourtney announced her pregnancy. "Yeah," Kris said.
"My mom found out on the news," said Khloé, 39. "She wasn't very happy, and rightfully so."
In a crowd in Los Angeles on June 17, Kourt danced with daughter Penelope while holding up a handwritten sign at her husband Travis Barker's Blink-182 show that read, "Travis, I'm pregnant." The sign was inspired by a fan who held up a similar poster in the band's "All the Small Things" music video.
Upon waking up, I opened my eyes to find Kourtney holding a sign in front of me, as we had left the TV on the night before and woke up early to watch ABC News. Kris recalled feeling like she was being Punk’d, until she realized it was indeed ABC News. Both Kris and Khloé knew about Kourtney's pregnancy, but Kourtney had not informed her momager about her plans to share the news with the world.
"When I mentioned on Saturday that Mom was really upset about what you did, she just said 'I forgot!'" Khloé shared. Kris joked, "She must've forgotten she had a family. That pregnancy brain really does some wild things."
Kourtney explained that she didn't intentionally exclude them from the L.A. concert and didn't think they would want to come. She expressed that she told Khloé about the plan and was asked to change it to San Diego. However, Kourtney chose to stick with her original plan because it was her moment and it was about her and Travis, not anyone else.
Two weeks later, Kris and Khloé attended a Blink-182 show in San Diego, but Kourtney was bothered by her family’s constant complaints about the temperature and food.
In her confessional, Kourtney expressed her frustration, stating, “This is why I don’t invite you guys to stuff — because it’s not about you. Everything becomes about everyone and the way they want to do it and all their complaints, and I’m like, ‘Oh, I see why I didn’t invite you to that other thing.'”

Kourtney and Travis recently celebrated the arrival of their first child together, son Rocky Thirteen, at the beginning of this month. Rocky joins several siblings: Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, from Kourtney's previous relationship with Scott Disick, and Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17, from Travis's previous marriage to Shanna Moakler.
