Kourtney said via an Instagram Story that she had five “failed IVF cycles” and three egg retrievals before conceiving Rocky, 6 months.

After going through five failed IVF cycles and three retrievals, Kourtney decided to stop trying. She found that taking a break helped her body relax, and she began to trust in God's plan for her life.

Kourtney shared that she prayed a lot for whatever was meant to happen for her and her partner. She also focused on improving her health during this time.

It can be tough to feel like you're not making an effort, but having faith in God's plan and praying can be incredibly impactful. Best of luck!" shared the oldest Kardashian.

In a separate Instagram Story, Kourtney explained that Rocky was not conceived through IVF, clearing up any confusion.

“I got pregnant 100% naturally,” she wrote. “NOT through IVF… one year after stopping IVF actually. Through God’s blessing, on Valentine’s Day.”

The reality television star and Poosh founder gave birth to baby Rocky in November 2023, just two months after undergoing “terrifying” fetal surgery.

My husband, who came back from tour to be by my side in the hospital and take care of me, is my rock," she shared on Instagram in September 2023. And to my mom, thank you for being there for me. Even though I had easy pregnancies before, I was not prepared for the fear of needing urgent fetal surgery.

Going through this experience has given me a new appreciation for the strength of mothers who have had to fight for their babies during pregnancy. I have a deeper understanding of that fear now. I feel truly blessed to have walked out of the hospital with my baby boy safe in my tummy. Thank you, God.

Kourtney shared more details about her health scare during the season 5 premiere of The Kardashians on Thursday, May 23.
