The insider revealed that Charles, 75, and Camilla made a mutual decision. They both agreed that Camilla should take a week off to avoid overworking herself.
Camilla's next planned event is on March 11, where she will be standing in for Charles at Westminster Abbey for the yearly Commonwealth Day service. In the meantime, Charles is set to communicate with the public through a video that will be shown during the service.
Charles has been focusing on his cancer treatment and has been less visible in public. Camilla and Prince William have stepped in to cover some of his planned appearances since it was announced last month that he has cancer.

Kate underwent a planned medical procedure at The London Clinic, according to Kensington Palace.
