“Baby, This is Keke Palmer” podcast. "The cost may be high, but I am dedicated to investing in my professional image because it is essential to excel in my chosen career. Moreover, not only is it crucial for me to appear presentable, but it is also vital for the type of career I aspire to."
Palmer emphasized that investing in her well-being is solely her "personal choice."
“I never want to impose it on anyone,” she explained. “I always want to emphasize that when I talk about fitness, what I mean is that your journey is unique to you. You need to figure out what works for you. And it's important to remember that when you see celebrities and people in the industry, their appearance is part of their job."
Earlier in the episode, Palmer mentioned that her perception of her body changed after becoming a mother. She remarked, "It's fascinating to see the additional assets I have to work with after having a baby, and how my fear of gaining extra weight actually became a source of strength when it came to weight training and exercising."

Palmer experienced a transformative moment when she became a mother in February, welcoming her son Leodis with Darius Jackson. Reflecting on this new chapter in her life, the Nope actress shared how her perspective has shifted.
"In the time since I had my baby, I have gained a tremendous amount of strength. I feel an incredible empowerment that I can't quite put into words. I now proudly showcase my confidence and revel in the joy of being a mother," she expressed in an interview with The Cut last month. This interview took place shortly after Jackson, 29, criticized Palmer for her choice of attire at an Usher concert. "To be honest, even before having my baby, I struggled with a lot of self-consciousness."
Palmer admitted that she used to prioritize her physical appearance before becoming a mother, always striving to be slim and fit. However, after giving birth, she noticed significant changes in her body, with new areas gaining weight.
Now, as a mother, Palmer has made a conscious effort to accept and embrace her body as it is. She realizes that her baby is the one person who loves her unconditionally and is content with that kind of love. Ultimately, she realizes that it doesn't matter what she looks like, as long as she has that kind of love in her life.
In that particular month, Palmer introduced a fresh line of merchandise, which appeared to have been influenced by Jackson's remark. She tweeted, "There is no doubt and it is indeed true, I AM A MOTHER, wholeheartedly!" She further added, "Get your hands on the 'I AM A MOTHER' and 'Stevie to the bulls--t' shirts, available NOW!"
