Actress Kat Graham from Vampire Diaries has been chosen to play Diana Ross in Universal's new biopic about Michael Jackson. Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International revealed on Monday, March 25, that important roles in the film Michael have been filled by actors who played significant parts in Jackson's life.

Graham, 34, best known for her role as Bonnie Bennett in The Vampire Diaries from 2009 to 2017, will be starring in a biopic as the lead singer of The Supremes. She later had a legendary solo career and introduced the Jackson 5 to the world. Graham has always balanced a music career with her acting, and even worked with the late Prince on her second album.

In addition to Graham, Larenz Tate (Power) has joined the cast of Michael as Motown Records founder Berry Gordy. Jessica Sula (Split) will be portraying Michael's older sister La Toya Jackson, while Liv Symone (Power Book III: Raising Kanan) will play Gladys Knight. Kendrick Sampson (Insecure) will take on the role of Quincy Jones, KeiLyn Durrel Jones as Bill Bray, and Kevin Shinick as Dick Clark.

The Jackson 5 will be portrayed by a total of eight actors, each taking on the roles of older and younger versions of the iconic musical group. Kamal R. Henderson and Jayden Harville will bring Jermaine to life, while Tre Horton and Jaylen Lyndon Hunter will embody Marlon Jackson. Rhyan Hill and Judah Edwards will portray Tito Jackson, with Joseph David-Jones and Nathaniel Logan McIntyre taking on the role of Jackie Jackson.
