Kali Uchis and Don Toliver are celebrating the birth of their first child.

Uchis, 30, and Toliver, 29, announced the birth of their baby boy in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, March 14.

"We are so grateful for our beautiful, healthy baby boy. Thank you, God, for blessing us with him and thank you all for your positive vibes throughout this journey," the singers shared in a caption alongside a video of them holding their son. "May our home and your homes always be filled with peace, happiness, and good health."

The couple's post received an outpouring of joyful comments, with Halle Bailey chiming in with, "Congratulations beautiful!!!!!"

Toliver released his new music video "Deep in the Water" on Thursday, featuring clips of the mother and son. The lyrics of the song reference their baby's birth: "Deep in the water, far as I can see/Deep in the water, through your pregnancy."

In January 2024, the couple announced that Uchis was expecting a baby, appearing together in her music video "Tu Corazón Es Mio."

Uchis and Toliver began dating in 2020, and he confirmed their relationship in a July 2021 interview with W Magazine.

“We’re not crazy public or nothing like that,” he told the publication. “We just vibe.”

Toliver shared that he went to Colombia with Uchis to meet her family and film music videos for his album Life of a DON in 2021. He mentioned that he had planned to include her in a video to make it more authentic.

A year after, Toliver and Uchis appeared together on the red carpet as a couple for the first time at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in April 2022.

The duo has a great working relationship, with Toliver showcasing his Grammy award winning partner on the track "4 Me" from his album Love Sick in 2023.

In the music video, Uchis takes on the role of a waitress in a diner, while Toliver emotionally pours his heart out to her through the lyrics of the song. He sings, "I need to hold my bae, baby/ I need to feel your heart, bae, baby/ I need you in my arms."

In that year, Toliver was showcased on Uchis' Red Moon in Venus album on the track "Fantasy." In the song, he expressed his desire to start a family with her by singing, "This here my fantasy, I wanna start me a family."

Toliver shared during an interview on The Breakfast Club in March 2023 that he is more emotionally invested in this relationship than ever before. He believes he has found the one person he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
