After an amazing chapter last week, Kagurabachi chapter 13 featured the anticipated battle between Kamunabi's elite forces and Genichi Sojo. The latest issue showed Kamunabi's elite members using various strategies to defeat Sojo. Meanwhile, Chihiro emerged victorious in his own battle and located Char. In the previous chapter, Kamunabi discussed their plan with Chihiro before launching a surprise attack on Sojo. It also revealed the malicious actions of the Mafia boss as he ruthlessly killed his own customers. After much consideration, Sojo realized that he needed to understand his Cloud Gouger blade in order to create identical katanas.

luckily, the perfect opportunity presented itself for him to showcase the true potential of the blade while Kamunabi waited outside. Meanwhile, Chihiro discovered Sojo's hideout and defeated several sorcerers guarding the area.
The latest installment of Kagurabachi, chapter 13, made its debut in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump 54 on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 12 am JST. Entitled "Elite," the chapter opened with Sojo observing the members of Kamunabi. He expressed his desire to face off against Shiba and Azami, as well as challenge Kamunabi's five elite forces to test his blade.
Without wasting another moment, a member of Kamunabi showcased their magical abilities to conjure a platform for the upcoming battle. In chapter 13 of Kagurabachi, the story briefly shifted to a flashback where Chihiro unveiled the formidable powers of Cloud Gouger to the rest of the squad.

He claimed that the Cloud Gouger katana had three abilities: Ice, Water, and Lightning. Ice was for both offense and defense, Water could disorient an opponent, but he cautioned them about the devastating power of Lightning.
The Kamunabi members acknowledged the danger posed by the Cloud Gouger. One of them requested Azami to join them, but the dark-haired sorcerer warned them about other threats besides Sojo. Killing the Mafia Boss would not solve the issues of the auction and the Hisaku.

Consequently, they were unable to deploy all fighters simultaneously. Instead, with Chihiro's assistance, they devised a foolproof strategy. After the flashback sequences, chapter 13 of Kagurabachi returned to the primary conflict. Sojo came to the realization that his adversaries were concentrating on the aerial battle in order to prevent damage to the city.
Suddenly, he found himself facing all five elite forces launching simultaneous attacks at him. The story then flashed back to when Chihiro proposed that Kamunabi overwhelm Sojo with a relentless barrage of strikes to prevent him from executing the "Charge" move.

The Cloud Gouger blade's Charge ability, as revealed by Sojo, significantly enhances the power level. Despite struggling to execute it in the battle against Chihiro, Sojo was determined to learn from his errors. Returning to the battlefield in Kagurabachi chapter 13, Sojo utilized a powerful AoE attack by combining lightning and water. However, the Kamunabi members had anticipated this move, all thanks to Chihiro.

The protagonist with dark hair was certain that Sojo would resort to showcasing that technique if he was blocked from using Charge. Because of this, he directed his team members to face that combination attack head-on. He reassured them that they would survive, as it had less potency than a Charge maneuver.
According to Chihiro in Kagurabachi chapter 13, Kamunabi had to allow Sojo to fully unleash the lightning ability, as it comes with a cooldown time. Once the Mafia boss showcases that power, his opponents would have an opportunity to counterattack and defeat Sojo in that manner.

In Kagurabachi chapter 13, the elite squad followed Chihiro's advice and returned to the battlefield. The battle played out just as the protagonist had anticipated, with the Kamunabi members using their skills to counter Sojo's lethal attack and ultimately defeat the Mafia boss.
After the battle, the chapter shifted to Sojo's hideout, where Chihiro and the squad defeated the guards. Chihiro then interrogated one of the guards to learn Char's true location. The defeated sorcerer revealed that the little girl was being held captive in a lab beneath the hideout.
Nevertheless, a number of formidable sorcerers protected the area. The sorcerer who had been defeated then taunted Chihiro for his severe injuries and expressed a desire for his downfall. It was at that precise moment that the main character recalled his father's advice regarding the true capabilities of the enchanted blade.
