K-pop Sensation STAYC's Wardrobe Mishap: Rangers Jerseys Mix-up Steals the Show in Dallas Concert

K-pop sensation STAYC encountered a wardrobe mishap during their electrifying concert in Dallas, leaving fans pleasantly surprised In an endearing attempt to connect with the local crowd, the group unintentionally sported the wrong Rangers jerseys

According to the New York Times, during their show in Dallas last Thursday, K-pop girl group STAYC experienced a wardrobe mix-up. As part of their Teenfresh world tour, the members had been donning the jerseys of local sports teams in each city they performed. For instance, in Chicago, they wore Bears and Bulls uniforms, and in Brooklyn, they sported Yankees and Mets gear.

In their recent Texas show, four band members nailed the look by wearing Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks gear. However, when it came to blending in with the local audience in terms of baseball attire, two members missed the mark slightly.

The intention seemed to be to show support for the Texas Rangers baseball team, who have advanced to the World Series for the first time since 2011. They achieved this after winning against their state rivals, the Houston Astros, in a seven-game series in the American League Championship.

However, social media photos revealed that two members, Sumin and Isa, wore jerseys of the Rangers soccer team from Glasgow, Scotland, which is located over 4,000 miles away.

Despite the unexpected innocent mistake, there was no pre-existing connection between STAYC and the Scottish club. However, it appears that Rangers fans online have embraced the incident positively.

This unintentional wardrobe mishap is not the only connection between K-pop and a Glasgow-based football team. In 2018, the jersey of Celtic, Rangers' bitter rival, made an appearance in the music video for boy band Stray Kids' song "My Piece."

STAYC, which stands for Star to a Young Culture, made their debut in 2020 with a six-member lineup including Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J. Their single "Run2U" achieved a remarkable feat by entering the top 10 of the US charts in March, while their EP "Teenfresh" secured the 14th position on the Album charts.
