Jujutsu Kaisen fans have known for a while that the manga's creator, Gege Akutami, is a big fan of Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter X Hunter manga. This was particularly noticeable during the Shibuya Incident Arc, where there was a lot of narration similar to Hunter X Hunter.
Because of this, a Jujutsu Kaisen fan has come up with a theory that Gege Akutami might choose the next deaths in the series by taking inspiration from Togashi. While this theory may seem a bit strange, there is no reason to think that Gege Akutami wouldn't go down this route for the story.

Jujutsu Kaisen theory predicts Ui Ui and Shoko's deaths
Twitter article posted by TopperGojo
A fan of Jujutsu Kaisen on X (formerly Twitter) @TBradyRS suggested a theory. They think Gege Akutami could have Ryomen Sukuna take a similar path to Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter. In this scenario, Sukuna might end up fighting against the Jujutsu Sorcerers by targeting Ui Ui and Shoko Ieiri to gain an advantage.
Sukuna was compared by a fan to two characters from Hunter x Hunter - Chimera Ant King Meruem and Hisoka Morow. On one side, Sukuna respected powerful opponents like Meruem, while on the other side, he saw himself as the strongest, similar to Hisoka. Like Hisoka, Sukuna also only focused on his own preferences and dislikes.

Hisoka, as portrayed in the Hunter X Hunter anime, is a character who has undergone a notable transformation. One key similarity between Sukuna and Hisoka is that both were forced to use their energy to survive in critical situations.
After Hisoka was killed by Chrollo, his personality underwent a significant change. Previously known as a pleasure-seeking Hunter, his resurrection from death led to a shift towards a more practical mindset.
Hisoka targeted two important members of the Phantom Troupe, Shalnark and Kortopi, who were key players in Chrollo's strategy. By eliminating them, he believed he was one step closer to getting his revenge on the leader of the group.

Ui Ui, a character seen in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, may be targeted by Sukuna. This is similar to how Hisoka went after two supporting characters after becoming practical. Sukuna, like Hisoka, was close to death and no longer wanted to go easy on the Jujutsu sorcerers. Sukuna might go after Ui Ui and Shoko Ieiri for this reason.
Ui Ui had played a crucial role in helping the Jujutsu Sorcerers by using his Teleportation technique to move Satoru Gojo and Yuta Okkotsu away from danger. Although it was unclear where Ui Ui had teleported them to, it was speculated that he might have taken them to Jujutsu Tech doctor Shoko Ieiri.

Therefore, with Ryomen Sukuna now relying on cursed energy to sustain his heart, it is likely that he will adjust his tactics when facing the jujutsu sorcerers. He may target Ui Ui and Shoko Ieiri, two significant characters among the sorcerers.
That said, it is yet to be seen how Sukuna would attack Ui Ui and reach Shoko Ieiri. Such a development could likely also reveal what happened to Yuta Okkotsu, and Satoru Gojo's body.

Editor's P/S:
The theory presented in this article is intriguing and well-supported by evidence from both Jujutsu Kaisen and Hunter x Hunter. It is certainly plausible that Gege Akutami may draw inspiration from Togashi's work in determining the next deaths in the series. The parallels between Sukuna and Hisoka, as well as the potential significance of targeting Ui Ui and Shoko, create a compelling narrative that would be both surprising and fitting for the story's progression.
While it is ultimately up to Akutami to decide the fate of his characters, this theory provides an exciting possibility for the future of Jujutsu Kaisen. It also highlights the fascinating connections and influences that can exist between different works of fiction, inspiring creators to explore new ideas and directions for their stories.
