Fans were left in awe by the stunning animation in Episode 17 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. However, there were numerous unfinished scenes that caught the attention of an animator, who recently shared their thoughts on the matter. This particular episode showcased a highly intense battle, with Sukuna making a timely appearance to vanquish Mahoraga and rescue Megumi. Furthermore, it provided a crucial clue regarding Sukuna's intentions involving Megumi, depicted a fierce clash between two formidable creatures, portrayed the devastation of Shibuya, unveiled Yuji's emotional breakdown, and concluded with an intriguing cliffhanger concerning Nanami.
A lot unfolded within a brief 20-minute span of the episode, and it seems that things are bound to deteriorate further. Notably, Vincent Chansard, an esteemed animator from One Piece, made cameo appearances throughout the episode, including the Gear 5 episodes, Zoro vs. King, and various other remarkable episodes.
Although fans have showered the recent JJK episode with praise, they have also observed that numerous scenes appear rough and unfinished. Consequently, one of the animators has decided to shed light on the truth behind this.

JJK animator NobiliRoccia expressed their disappointment with episode #17 of JJK S2. Despite the positive reception from fans, they wished that the staff had been able to complete it fully. Currently, only 30% of the intended vision is portrayed on the screen.
NobiliRoccia felt frustrated and stated that they wished for more time to finish additional scenes. The episode's numerous errors made it impossible for them to find any enjoyment in it.
Fans have shown remarkable support for the animators' efforts. One user commented, "Wait, that was only 30%? The animation was already mind-blowing. You all did an amazing job considering the time constraints." Another user exclaimed, "The staff deserves medals! If that was only 30% and it was that fantastic, they truly deserve recognition. Absolutely incredible!"
Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 are well aware of the production issues surrounding the show, with MAPPA being heavily criticized for their treatment of animators. Despite requests for a delay, the production team has chosen to reject these pleas.
Furthermore, there has been a noticeable delay of 4-5 hours with the release of preview stills for the most recent episode. This serves as evidence that animators are working right up until the last minute before the scheduled release time. As the workload continues to mount, many animators have taken to expressing their dissatisfaction on Twitter/X.
Despite the recurring controversies, MAPPA has yet to address the complaints about its alleged working conditions.

As an enthusiastic fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I was thrilled to watch the latest episode of Season 2. The animation was truly mind-blowing, and I was particularly impressed by the battle between Sukuna and Mahoraga. However, I was also disappointed to see that some scenes were left unfinished.
It's clear that the animators put a lot of effort into this episode, and I appreciate their hard work. However, I think it's important to prioritize the quality of the animation over the release schedule. I would rather wait a few extra weeks for a fully finished episode than have to watch something that's rushed and incomplete.
I hope that MAPPA will take this feedback to heart and give the animators more time to finish their work. Jujutsu Kaisen is a great show, and it deserves to have the best animation possible.
