Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth recently welcomed their third child — and baby fever might be kicking in again soon.
Duggar recently shared her postpartum experience in a YouTube Q&A video, which was uploaded on June 17, marking one month since she welcomed her son Gunner into the world. In addition to Gunner, Duggar and her husband also have two other children, Gideon, 5, and Evelyn, 2. When asked about her plans for more children, Duggar expressed her surprise at the question, considering she had just given birth.
The 19 Kids and Counting alum mentioned that she and Forsyth, 29, previously talked about having "four or five" children, but they are uncertain if they still want to pursue that specific number.
"I don't have a sense of completion," she expressed. "Many of my friends have shared that when they are finished having children, they just know. They have a definitive feeling that this is their last one. I haven't reached that point yet, and I genuinely enjoyed the entire process... I believe we could potentially have another child."
Joy-Anna Duggar, the daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, tied the knot with Forsyth in May 2017. Shortly after, they excitedly announced their first pregnancy, and their son Gideon was born in February 2018. Unfortunately, tragedy struck less than two years later when Joy-Anna shared the heartbreaking news of a miscarriage at 20 weeks in July 2019.
After her recovery, the Arkansas native expressed to Us in November 2019 that she intended to allow herself sufficient time to heal before considering another pregnancy. In March of the following year, she and her partner, a former EMT, revealed that they were expecting their second child, who would be born in August 2020, shortly after their firstborn Evelyn.
Adding to their growing family, Joy-Anna and her partner welcomed baby Gunner on May 17. Reflecting on the transition to being a mother of three, Joy-Anna openly discussed the physical changes her body has undergone post childbirth.
"I find it extremely challenging to lose weight after giving birth," she admitted during her YouTube Q&A session. "For me, it requires a lot of effort. Contrary to popular belief, breastfeeding doesn't necessarily aid in weight loss; in fact, it sometimes makes it harder for me to shed the extra pounds. However, I do feel my best when I am able to lose the weight."
The former Counting On star shared that she has been focusing on adopting a healthier eating routine since giving birth to Gunner. "I've noticed that I'm gradually losing weight," she remarked. "But it always takes me a considerable amount of time. This time around, I've decided to be kinder to myself because I know from past experience that the weight loss process will likely not be quick."
Joy-Anna shared with her followers that she and Forsyth are making continuous efforts to maintain their romantic connection amidst the challenges of parenthood. Acknowledging the importance of prioritizing their relationship, she expressed gratitude for their strong support system, which allows them occasional breaks from parenting responsibilities. Joy-Anna emphasized the need to be intentional in their marriage and carve out dedicated time for one another.
