Josh Duhamel recently paid tribute to his late stepfather, George Kemper, reflecting on the impact he had on his life. In an Instagram post on Monday, April 22, the actor described George as an incredible man with a vibrant personality and a contagious laugh that would light up any room. Duhamel expressed gratitude for how George had brought his family into a life full of opportunities, including introducing him to his two other sisters, McKenzee and Kassidy.

Josh Duhamel's parents, Bonny Kemper and Larry Duhamel, separated when Josh and his sister Ashlee were kids. Bonny later married George Kemper, who became a father figure to Josh and Ashlee. They also welcomed two daughters, McKenzee and Kassidy.

In a heartfelt social media post, Josh expressed his gratitude to George Kemper, who passed away. "We will miss this man dearly," Josh wrote. "Thank you for all you did for us Big George."

Josh shared a selfie wearing sunglasses on an airplane, along with a heartfelt message on Monday. In the photo, he was holding a piece of paper that said: “Celebrating a Life George Kemper 1949 – 2004.”

The piece of paper also featured the logos of Kemper’s construction company, Kemper Construction Co., and The Associated General Contractors.

Kemper passed away at the age of 74 on April 9 at his winter residence in San Tan Valley, Arizona, after fighting brain cancer.

The obituary described George as having a vibrant personality, with a contagious laugh that everyone recognized. He was known for always having the final say in conversations, as he would simply walk away when he was finished speaking. Above all, George's family held the most special place in his heart.

Josh and his sisters were named in the obituary, along with the actor’s wife, Audra Mari, whom he married in September 2022. Both of Josh’s children were also listed as George’s grandkids.

Josh has a 10-year-old son named Axl with his ex-wife Fergie. They got married in January 2009 and announced their separation in September 2017. In January, Josh welcomed his second child, Shepherd, with his current wife Audra, who is 30 years old.

Since remarrying, Josh has been open about the relationship between his ex-wife and his current wife. He has shared that there is nothing but love between them.

Thankfully, Fergie is truly amazing. He mentioned on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show in September 2023 how she has taken Audra in. It could have been a lot worse. You really never know how things like this will turn out.
