AEW sensation Jon Moxley rocks the wrestling world at Wrestle Kingdom 18 with an astonishing Red Hood-inspired ring attire, leaving fans in awe and craving for more

Spectators at Wrestle Kingdom 18 were treated to a surprise when Jon Moxley from AEW entered the ring sporting a new outfit inspired by Red Hood.

The worlds of pro wrestling and comic books have a substantial intersection, with both fans and wrestlers sharing a passion for both. It's no wonder wrestlers often embrace comic book-inspired attire when entering the ring.

Rey Mysterio is one of the obvious names, known for his superhero-inspired costumes at WrestleMania. Additionally, there are others like Kenny Omega's iconic Undertale entrance on AEW Dynamite and Jade Cargill's She-Hulk entrance at AEW All Out 2022. In the early hours of January 4, a new pro wrestler made a memorable entrance in comic gear, causing fans to go wild.

Fans are losing it over Jon Moxley’s Wrestle Kingdom 18 Red Hood entrance

AEW star Jon Moxley made his way to the ring for his Wrestle Kingdom 18 bout in a costume inspired by Batman’s anti-hero sometimes-partner, Red Hood.

The costume is fairly straightforward, taking inspiration from the modern suit Red Hood has worn since the release of Red Hood and the Outlaws #26 in 2018. Jon Moxley can be seen sporting the RED HOOD inspired gear inside the Tokyo Dome. YEAHHHH. pic.twitter.com/6jbtYpXX5u

While most of the costume remains true to the original, featuring a black leather jacket with MOX in red spray paint across the back, the mask is clearly inspired by the Red Hood.

Fans picked up on the look and began showering it with love on social media.

Mox and Osprey with two incredible big time entrances just to lose to David Finlay. Looool

Johnny Guitar (@Johny_Scissors) tweeted on January 4, 2024: Moxley, a three-time AEW World Heavyweight Champion, rarely makes grand entrances like this one, which is why fans were so impressed. Usually, he simply walks through the crowd to get to the ring.

Mox putting effort into his entrance attire, good for him! It evoked memories of his final WWE gimmick, with the Red Hood gear drawing comparisons to The Dark Knight Rises’s Bane.

Remember when he bitched about wearing that gas mask in WWE, pal?! Such good shit!

@HereditaryBane tweeted on January 4, 2024 that Moxley wore the Red Hood gear for his Wrestle Kingdom 18 match against Will Ospreay and David Finlay, where they competed for the first-ever IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.

Moxley came up short in the bout, with Finlay pinning Ospreay to walk out with the title.
