In the anime series Suicide Squad Isekai, the familiar characters from Suicide Squad are transported to a completely different world, diverging from what DC fans are accustomed to seeing them in. The Isekai genre, known for its prevalence in modern anime, typically revolves around a protagonist, often an ordinary person, who is magically transported to a fantasy realm with the inclusion of mythical creatures such as dragons. In the anime's trailer, both Harley Quinn and the Joker can be seen in their Isekai forms. Although the teaser only revealed the presence of these characters along with Amanda Waller, the title of the show suggests that additional members of the Suicide Squad may make appearances in this anime series. Directed by Eri Osada, also known for their work on Jujutsu Kaisen, Suicide Squad Isekai is brought to life by the animation studio WIT Studio, renowned for its previous work on popular series like Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga.

Despite James Gunn and Peter Safran's new version of DC which includes movies, series, animation, and video games, Suicide Squad Isekai will not be a part of the DC Universe. However, for fans eager to see more of the team, Suicide Squad Isekai might become their go-to project since there are currently no plans for a new Suicide Squad movie featuring Joker, Harley Quinn, or other beloved DC characters. The release date for Suicide Squad Isekai is yet to be determined.
