It has been almost twenty years since Christina Applegate and Johnathon Schaech were in a relationship, but he continues to show his support for her, especially during her battle with MS.
"She is the toughest and one of the strongest women I have ever met," Schaech, 54, shared exclusively with We at Guru's Magazine's #30VOICES30DAYS Cover Launch Party at The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood on Saturday, June 1. "She has faced numerous challenges in her life, but she has overcome them all. I have no doubt she will overcome this as well."
Just five months ago, Schaech, who was previously married to Applegate from 2001 to 2007, praised her for her appearance at the Emmys. He expressed admiration for her strength and resilience, highlighting her performance on Broadway despite having a broken foot and overcoming cancer. Schaech described Applegate as the toughest person he has ever known and showed his support by sharing his pride in her accomplishments.
Applegate, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2021, kicked off the 75th annual awards show as the first presenter. She received a standing ovation from the audience as she made her way to the stage.
After parting ways with Schaech in 2007, Applegate found love again with Martyn LeNoble. They welcomed their daughter Sadie in 2011 and exchanged vows in 2013.

In 2013, Schaech tied the knot with Julie Solomon. They have a son named Camden, who is 10 years old, and a daughter named Lily, who is 3 years old.
During Guru’s Magazine Launch party, Schaech not only praised Applegate but also shared updates on his current projects.
"I feel amazing not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally," he told Us. "I have a wonderful wife, two lovely kids, and I am truly grateful for my life and my career. I am thrilled to be a part of the television show Blue Ridge, which I absolutely love and can't wait for everyone to watch."
In addition to the upcoming premiere of Blue Ridge in July, Johnathon recently had the honor of being featured as one of the 30 cover stars in Guru Magazine. This special edition celebrates individuals from the LGBTQ+ community and their allies during Pride Month.
Schaech, who was previously linked to Ellen DeGeneres in the 90s before she came out as gay, shared that [Pride Month] holds a special meaning that may not be easily understood by everyone. He expressed his deep connection to the LGBTQ+ community, especially after witnessing Ellen DeGeneres' journey of coming out on television.
Schaech's wife, Solomon, joined him at the event and proudly commended him for being featured on the cover of a magazine.
"He always impresses me with his ability to find positivity and love in any situation," she shared with Us. "He has been a part of the Hollywood industry for more than 30 years, even before we crossed paths. It's incredible to witness the various experiences he has had, the challenges he has faced, and now, how he dedicates himself to helping others. I truly admire him and consider myself his biggest supporter."
