Manchester City have finalized the acquisition of midfielder Jill Roord from Wolfsburg.
The amount paid by City to the Frauen-Bundesliga team is officially recognized as a club record, with sources in Germany revealing to We News that it surpasses £300,000, thus establishing a fresh British record in the process.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the club - who finished fourth in the WSL in 2022/23.

Roord commenced her professional journey at Twente and had stints at Bayern Munich and Arsenal before proving instrumental in Wolfsburg's journey to the final of the Champions League. Alongside her triumph in the Women's European Championships with the Netherlands in 2017, Roord has amassed an impressive collection of achievements, including four Eredivisie titles, among others, throughout her career.
