Jennifer Lopez celebrated the premiere of her new film, Atlas, without Ben Affleck by her side. Despite his absence, the 54-year-old singer confidently walked the red carpet solo at the event in Los Angeles on Monday, May 20. Lopez stunned in a strapless black and white floor-length gown, complemented by a chic high bun hairstyle. Adding a touch of elegance, she accessorized with diamond jewelry and a simple silver band on her ring finger.

Lopez posed with the film's director, Brad Peyton, and costars Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown, although Affleck was not present at the event.

Rumors about the couple's relationship intensified recently when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala without Affleck, who is 51. This solo appearance followed her solo red carpet walk at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards in January, before reuniting with Affleck at the event.

While on the Golden Globes red carpet, Lopez talked about Affleck’s mood in response to viral paparazzi photos of his facial expressions.

She reassured Entertainment Tonight, saying, “Ben is doing fine. Don’t worry about him, I can assure you. He's good, happy, and here as a nominee. I'm relaxed, I don't get why people are so concerned.”

Lopez and Affleck seemed to be doing well earlier this year, but recently, a source revealed that their relationship has hit a rough patch. According to the insider, the couple is often not on the same page.

The source explained, "Jen and Ben are facing challenges in their marriage. The problems started a few months ago when Jen began taking on more work and getting ready for her upcoming tour."

The couple are not planning to break up, but they are currently spending some time apart. Affleck recently moved out of their shared home with Lopez and into a new rental property in Los Angeles a few weeks ago, according to another source.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been seen together several times recently, especially after rumors started about their relationship. One of these occasions was at their child's school event on May 17th. (Jennifer Lopez is the mother of twins Max and Emme, who are 16 years old and were born during her marriage to Marc Anthony. Ben Affleck, on the other hand, has three children - Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 - from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.)

During the event, the couple proudly displayed their wedding rings. However, earlier that day, Affleck was spotted without his ring in a photo.

Later that weekend, Affleck and Lopez were seen driving together in Brentwood, California on Sunday, May 19th.

Lopez and Affleck, who got married in July 2022, recently talked about their different views on sharing their relationship with the public. In her documentary called "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," the couple shared how Lopez's album "This Is Me ... Now" was inspired by the love letters that Affleck wrote to her over the years.

Lopez admitted, "I don't think he's completely comfortable with me sharing all of this with the world. But he loves me and understands that I am an artist. He will support me in every way possible because he knows that he can't stop me from creating the music and lyrics that are true to me."

Lopez believes that Affleck supports her in finding creative inspiration, but he is not entirely comfortable being her muse.

On the other hand, Affleck was taken aback by Lopez's willingness to share personal details about their relationship.

He mentioned, "Jen found great inspiration from this experience, seeing how artists go about their work. As a writer and director myself, I can relate to that. However, I have always considered private matters to be sacred and special because of their privacy. So, this was a bit of a change for me."

Their privacy became a concern when they reignited their romance in 2021.

The reason [we broke up] was because our private life was under a lot of scrutiny," he remembered. "I was very clear about setting boundaries with the media from the start. Although Jen didn't mind it as much as I did, I really did not like it. When we got back together, I told her, 'I don't want our relationship to be public on social media.' But then I realized it wasn't fair to ask for that."

Regarding their different views, Affleck mentioned: "We are just two individuals with different perspectives trying to find a middle ground."
