Jennifer Lopez is going on tour, regardless of what it is called.
When Jennifer released her new album, This Is Me … Now, she also announced a tour with the same name. However, she later changed the tour name to “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits” due to concerns about low ticket sales.
The official website for the tour has not been updated to reflect the change in title. However, visitors can find a timeline showcasing Jennifer Lopez's career highlights, starting from her debut on In Living Color in 1991 to the premiere of her film This Is Me ... Now: A Love Story in February 2024. This suggests that the focus of the tour has always been on her greatest hits.
On Wednesday, April 3, Lopez took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of what to expect at her upcoming shows. In a voiceover accompanying a montage of her performances throughout the years, the Grammy nominee shared her excitement about featuring tracks from her entire discography. She reflected on her journey, describing herself as a young Puerto Rican girl dancing with passion, unaware of the incredible tour she would embark on.
She continued by expressing her surprise at how her journey from singing for her family to performing around her city has taken her to unimaginable places. Traveling down this road has been a learning experience like no other. However, despite the challenges, she remains true to herself with the love that motivates her to share her story on stage. She emphasized that she is still the same girl who followed her passion, proud to be a woman and embracing her roots as Jenny from the block.
In the clip, Lopez shared that creating her upcoming tour has brought her immense joy. She mentioned how she cherishes seeing the faces of her fans in the audience and the connection she feels with them. She invited everyone to come dance, sing, and feel the energy together at her live performances, as this tour is a celebration for all. Lopez expressed her excitement to see everyone at the show, declaring, "This Is Me … Now the Tour."

The tour’s rebrand comes after Lopez canceled five shows in Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa and New Orleans originally scheduled for August 22-30. Neither Lopez nor Live Nation, the entertainment company producing the tour, addressed the switch-up at the time. We reached out to both for comment.
Lopez will start the U.S. leg of the This Is Me … Live tour in Orlando on June 26. She is scheduled to perform in over 20 cities across the country and Canada before finishing the tour with shows in her hometown, New York City.
Accompanying the release of Lopez’s This Is Me … Now album in February were two visual projects: her This Is Me … Now: A Love Story film and The Greatest Love Story Never Told documentary, both available on Amazon’s Prime Video.
“Of all the albums I’ve ever made, I feel like this one is really ready for the stage because of the Amazon Original that I did with it,” she mentioned during a February appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “It’s ready. All the choreography, everything’s ready to go.”
She went on to note that the album and the films “took so much out of me” before joking that the projects could be her “last hurrah.”
Editor's P/S:
Jennifer Lopez's recent tour rebranding highlights the challenges faced by even established artists in the entertainment industry. The initial low ticket sales for the "This Is Me... Now" tour indicate that fans may be more interested in her greatest hits rather than new material. This is a common dilemma for musicians, who must balance the desire to showcase their artistic evolution with the financial realities of touring. Lopez's decision to emphasize her most popular songs is a strategic move to ensure the success of her tour.
Despite the rebranding, Lopez remains enthusiastic about the upcoming performances. Her Instagram post reflects her passion for her craft and her appreciation for her fans. The montage of her performances throughout the years showcases her longevity and versatility as an artist. Lopez's journey from a young dancer to a global superstar is an inspiration to aspiring performers and a reminder of the power of following one's dreams. The tour promises to be a celebration of Lopez's illustrious career, featuring a mix of her most beloved hits and a glimpse into her personal life through the visual projects that accompanied the release of "This Is Me... Now".
