Jennifer Aniston is asking fans to honor Matthew Perry in a special way.

Please join me and Matty’s family in supporting his foundation on Giving Tuesday, as they work to help those struggling with addiction," shared Aniston, 54, on her Instagram Story on November 28. "He would have appreciated all the love." Accompanying her message was a black and white photo of Perry and a quote from the actor: "Addiction is far too powerful for anyone to defeat alone. But together, one day at a time, we can beat it down."

Giving Tuesday, falling on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving annually, is dedicated to radical acts of generosity. In anticipation of this day, Perry's stepfather Keith Morrison urged fans to direct their philanthropic endeavors towards Perry's organization, emphasizing the importance of contributing whatever one can on this occasion.

The Matthew Perry Foundation, established earlier this month, aims to assist individuals facing addiction. Following the passing of Perry at 54 on October 28, the charity was created to honor his commitment to helping others with addiction. Perry was found unresponsive in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home, and the official cause of death is pending a toxicology report.

Upon learning of Perry's passing, his Friends co-stars - including Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow - paid tribute to their longtime friend.

"We are absolutely heartbroken by Matthew's passing. We were more than just colleagues. We are a family," they stated together. "There are no words to express our grief. Right now, we need time to mourn and come to terms with this incomprehensible loss. We will share more in the future, as we are able. For now, our thoughts and love go out to Matty's family, friends, and everyone who cherished him worldwide."

Several days after his passing, the cast gathered for a private funeral for Perry at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, close to the Warner Bros. Studios where Friends was filmed. Aniston took to Instagram to mourn Perry's passing, describing it as a "deep" cut.

“Saying goodbye to our Matty has been a whirlwind of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,” Aniston shared earlier this month. “We all face loss at some point in our lives. Whether it's the loss of a life or the loss of love. Allowing myself to truly EMBRACE this grief has allowed me to appreciate the moments of joy and gratitude for having truly loved someone so deeply. And we loved him deeply. He was ingrained in our very being. We were always the 6 of us. This was a chosen family that forever altered the course of our lives and shaped our path.”
