A Twitch streamer, known as AlecAfterHours, caused a minor flood at his gym due to a mishap during an ice bath setup. Aspiring streamers feel the pressure to come up with captivating ideas and create content that will attract viewers. Whether it be reaction videos, gaming speed runs, or physical stunts, there are numerous avenues to pursue in order to achieve Twitch stardom. Although AlecAfterHours is not yet among the most popular Twitch streamers of all time, he is steadily gathering a following and currently has around 1,000 subscribers. His content mainly focuses on fitness, with live streams of his workout routines and breaks where he engages with viewers to discuss workout strategies. Additionally, he occasionally dabbles in streaming games such as Dark Souls and Fortnite. Recently, his gym became flooded during a fitness-themed stream, marking the beginning of this incident.

Near the end of a livestream on July 11, Alec concluded his intense workout session by immersed himself in an invigorating ice bath. A popular choice among athletes and fitness enthusiasts, this cold water therapy aids in accelerating muscle recovery post-exercise. Setting up a compact, collapsible tub in the center of his gym, the dedicated fitness streamer took the plunge. All seemed well until Alec emerged from the icy depths and proceeded to interact with his audience while drying off. Unbeknownst to both the streamer and his subscribers, the tub could be observed trembling in the background. Initially unnoticed, the shaking grew increasingly pronounced over time.

After realizing his mistake, Alec admitted that he had made an error by placing a piece of plaster under the tub. Once the plaster became wet, it began to warp and deteriorate, resulting in an unstable surface for the bath. Alec acknowledged that if the tub were to spill, he would face significant consequences. Interestingly, right on cue, the tub toppled over and water flooded the gym floor. As a result, the gym transformed into a frigid space reminiscent of an Ice-type gym leader's arena in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Fortunately, Alec had previously clarified that he owned the gym and it was late at night, ensuring that no one else was present during the incident. Aside from the repairs he would need to make, he didn't have to worry about facing repercussions from anyone else. Nevertheless, this incident serves as a reminder of the potential mishaps that can occur during live streaming. While it may not be as perilous as streaming amidst a thunderstorm, an ice bath still carries its own set of risks.

If Alec is fortunate, the accident might just propel his channel and draw more subscribers. While Twitch faces competition from the new service Kick, having some up-and-coming talents on its platform would undoubtedly be beneficial.
