Jason Statham has been creating unconventional action movies with memorable fight scenes for over 20 years, solidifying himself as an action movie icon. In his latest film, The Beekeeper, Statham plays Mr. Clay, a former member of the secret organization, The Beekeepers. After the tragic death of his friend (Phylicia Rashad) due to a phishing scam, Clay seeks revenge on the company responsible for the scams.
Known for his bold approach to action films such as Crank and The Mechanic, The Beekeeper continues Statham's reputation with an office space fight scene where Clay uses office chairs and a phone to take down his enemies, even while unarmed. Take a look at the intense scene below.
"I am a beekeeper," Statham reveals as he gets ready to unleash his own attack while dousing computers with gasoline. "I defend the hive. Sometimes I resort to fire to smoke out hornets."
Statham also acts as a producer for the movie, which features Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, and Jeremy Irons. The script was penned by action movie veteran writer Kurt Wimmer (known for Equilibrium, Expendables 4, Ultraviolet). While Ayers may be finished with DC, he aims to return to the full force of the action movie genre.
The Beekeeper is hitting theaters on January 12.

As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled to see Jason Statham back in action in the upcoming movie "The Beekeeper." Statham has always been one of my favorite action stars, and I can't wait to see him showcase his lethal ingenuity in this new film. The beekeeper scene is particularly exciting, as it shows Statham using everyday office supplies to take down his adversaries. This kind of creativity and resourcefulness is what makes Statham such a compelling action hero.
I also appreciate that Statham is taking on a more personal role in this film, as he seeks revenge for the death of his friend. This adds an emotional depth to the character that we haven't seen in some of his previous roles. Overall, I have high hopes for "The Beekeeper" and can't wait to see Statham back on the big screen.
