After news of his divorce from Lisa Bonet, Jason Momoa enjoyed a family night out with his two kids. The 44-year-old actor attended a screening of his documentary Common Ground in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 11. He was joined by famous friends, such as Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, and posed for photos with his 16-year-old daughter Lola Iolani and 15-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf on the red carpet.
The teenagers appeared mature as they stood next to their father, who was dressed in a yellow sweater and white pants. Lola Iolani looked adorable in a neutral-colored dress and white trench coat, while her brother wore dark pants and a matching jacket over his white T-shirt.
According to Momoa, this was not the first time his children had seen the environmental documentary, which emphasizes the significance of sustainable and eco-friendly farming.
“I took it to their school, and we played it at their school, and it was enjoyable to witness all their friends watching it, but I’m secretly hoping they take it to the next level,” Momoa told People at the event. “I want the next generation to take it even further. And some people are, but you just have to focus on what feels right for you and it motivates me. That’s what I’m fighting for.”
Days after their family outing, Bonet, 56, filed for divorce from Momoa on January 8, almost two years after announcing their split. According to divorce documents obtained by We, their date of separation was October 7, 2020, which also happened to be their third wedding anniversary. The reason cited for their split was irreconcilable differences.
The exes, Momoa and Bonet, came to an agreement on their divorce the next day. They decided to share custody of their two children without formal child support and waived their rights to spousal support. According to court documents obtained by Us, they will be legally single on July 9.
