The Game Pass catalog for 2024 kicks off with an exciting wave of new additions, including popular titles like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Resident Evil 2, and Super Mega Baseball 4. Close to the Sun, a narrative-driven steampunk adventure, is available starting today, January 3, followed by the addition of World War II game Hell Let Loose on January 4. January 9 will see the Game Pass debut of titles like Valhalla and the action-adventure game Figment. Don't miss out on these exciting new releases!
Super Mega Baseball 4 will be added to the Game Pass library on January 11, joining the return of We Happy Few. Developed by the Microsoft-owned Compulsion Games, the reason for its removal from the library a year ago remains unclear, but it will soon be back on Game Pass. On January 16, Resident Evil 2's remake and the horror game Those Who Remain will be launching on Game Pass, with no day-one new releases in the first half of January 2024.
Keep an eye out for the second round of monthly Game Pass additions from Microsoft later in the month. As for titles leaving Game Pass in the first half of January 2024, GTA V, Garden Story, MotoGP 22, Persona 4 Golden, and Person 3 Portable will soon be removed from the library.

As a Gen Z fan, I'm thrilled about the January 2024 Game Pass lineup! Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Resident Evil 2 are two of my most anticipated games of the year, and I can't wait to dive into them. I'm also excited about the return of We Happy Few, which was one of my favorite games when it first came out. I'm curious to see what new content has been added to the game since it was removed from Game Pass a year ago.
Overall, I think Microsoft is doing a great job with Game Pass. The service offers an incredible value for money, and it's constantly being updated with new games. I'm really looking forward to seeing what else Microsoft has in store for Game Pass in 2024.
