Jamie Lynn Spears followed through with the spirit of the U.K.'s I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here reality series by actually leaving after the episode on Tuesday, November 28. The official X account (formerly known as Twitter) confirmed her departure on Wednesday, November 19.

The statement announced that Jamie Lynn Spears has exited I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! due to medical reasons. Despite this, she had been a strong participant in trials and had formed close bonds with her fellow celebrities. No further information was given regarding the specific medical circumstances. #ImACeleb.

32-year-old Spears was among 10 celebrity contestants trying to endure the harsh conditions of the Australian outback. In the latest episode, she openly admitted her longing to leave the show. Following an emotional moment where she tearfully expressed her discontent after consuming chocolate, she stated, "I'm feeling so miserable. It's as if that small piece of chocolate just infuriated me."

Then the Sweet Magnolias star proceeded to a phone booth, seemingly making an attempt to reach her family. Frustrated by the lack of connection, she exclaimed in anger, "I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it here," while repeatedly hitting the phone. "This place is where people come to experience the worst days of their lives," Spears added. "Dear God, please help me get through this. I feel like I need to leave, I feel like I need to leave."

Spears' most recent reality series, Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, was filmed in Jordan and once again presented a challenging experience for the star, who also previously appeared on two episodes of Dancing With the Stars.

During her third episode on January 11, she confided in fellow contestant Mel B, expressing her struggle to endure another day of filming.

"I miss my children even if I'm away from them for just a couple of hours," Spears admitted. "So this is a significant challenge for me."

In a later interview, Spears explained her decision to quit, saying, "It's probably due to many factors. Not only do I love my daughters and want to be with them, but being away from them like this makes me feel like a bad mom, you know? They didn't ask for their mom to be gone."

Spears is the mother of two daughters. She shares 15-year-old Maddie with Casey Aldridge and 5-year-old Ivey with Jamie Watson, whom she married in 2014.

Jamie Lynn, who is nine years younger than her famous sister Britney Spears, revealed on a previous episode of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here that Britney, who is 41, was worried about her before she left for the show, which began production earlier this month.

“I’m sure she’s concerned about me being out here,” Jamie Lynn said. “I think she’s probably keeping a close eye on me. I can imagine she’s thinking, ‘Why would she do that?’ She asked me about it before I came here, saying, ‘Are you really going to do it?’ I responded, ‘I’m not sure if I can say, but I’m going to Australia to check it out.’”
