Jamie Lynn Spears and husband Jamie Watson dated off and on before they tied the knot in 2014.

When Watson first met Jamie Lynn in 2010, he confessed that he had no idea she was an actress or the little sister of pop star Britney Spears.

"I'm just a regular guy with a regular job," Watson shared during the 2016 TLC special, Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out. "I had no clue about her family. I didn't know she had a TV show. I was completely unaware of everything about her."

2010

Jamie Lynn met Watson through mutual friends shortly after she split from Aldridge. At the time, Jamie Lynn was a single mom to her and Aldridge’s daughter, Maddie.

2013

After dating off and on for three years, Watson proposed to the Zoey 101 alum.

"Can you guess what??????" Jamie Lynn excitedly shared in the caption of a March 2012 photo featuring her and Watson proudly displaying her engagement ring. "#Hedidgood," she added.

The couple wed in New Orleans.

2016

During the TLC special, Watson opened up about the moment he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Jamie Lynn.

“I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with [Jamie Lynn] when I realized that I had fallen in love with Maddie just as deeply as I had with her,” he gushed. “I couldn’t imagine not being a part of her or Maddie’s life.”

2018

After four years of marriage, Jamie Lynn and Watson welcomed daughter Ivey.

When Britney spoke out about her conservatorship battle for the first time in court, Watson defended his wife and her family for wanting what was best for the singer.

Watson affirmed to the New York Post, "I can assure you her family loves her and wants the best for her. I wouldn’t be around people who weren’t. Who wouldn’t want to be in support of Britney?"

March 2022

On their eighth wedding anniversary, Jamie Lynn wrote a touching message to her husband, reflecting on how he brought laughter and stability into her life when she was a young single mother at 18. She credited him with bringing her a sense of peace in their relationship, describing it as what being in love is supposed to feel like.

She added, "I may not be an expert, but I consider myself fortunate to have found that with my husband, even on the days when I can't stand him. Here's to 8 years of marriage for us, and we still have our honeymoon to look forward to."
