James Maddison playfully responded to Bukayo Saka following the Arsenal striker's imitation of Maddison's dart celebration during Sunday's north London derby. Saka humorously replicated Maddison's arrow gesture after scoring the opening goal for Arsenal in the 26th minute of the 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium, despite the deflection off Cristian Romero.

However, after 16 minutes, Maddison skillfully outplayed Saka on the left side and assisted Heung-Min Son in scoring Tottenham's equalizing goal. When asked about Saka imitating his celebration, Maddison jokingly shared with SPURSPLAY, "During our time together on international duty, Bukayo and I exchanged some playful banter and friendly trash talk."
"And I was informed that he did the darts celebration - he must have still been doing it when I dribbled past him for the first goal, I believe, so I'll have a little chat with him later!" Maddison joked with We News after the match.
Asked by reporter Michael Bridge: "A quick 501 at Ally Pally against Bukayo Saka, do you reckon?"
A laughing Maddison then responded: "His action was terrible though, wasn't it?!"
The 26-year-old had the final say on the field as he played a role in nullifying Saka's second-half penalty, which gave Arsenal a 2-1 lead in the 56th minute. However, within a span of 90 seconds, Maddison skillfully stole the ball from Jorginho and passed it to Son, who scored his second goal of the game, securing Tottenham's undefeated record in the Premier League under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
