Jaime King has requested to stop paying child support to her ex-husband Kyle Newman. In court documents obtained on April 15, King, 44, stated that she is unable to afford the support. King and Newman, 48, have two sons together, James (10) and Theo (8).

She is also requesting to terminate the spousal support agreement that the couple had previously filed in April 2022.

In the documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, April 11, the Hart of Dixie alum highlighted Newman's achievements as a filmmaker, game designer, and more.

She shared social media posts from her wedding in May 2023 with musician Cyn (real name Cynthia Nabozny). During the wedding, she was pregnant with their second child, daughter Beatrix, born in August last year. Their first child, son Etienne, was born in February 2021.

King was taken aback when she found out that her ex was going to have a baby with Cyn. She had no idea that Cyn was pregnant while they were co-parenting their sons together.

According to a source close to her, it was a huge surprise for her.

King and Newman got married at Greystone Park and Manor in Los Angeles in 2007. They were together for almost 13 years before King decided to file for divorce in May 2020, as reported by Us.

The actress not only filed for divorce paperwork, but she also requested a temporary restraining order. The order was approved and prevented Newman from being within 100 yards of her. However, she withdrew the request the next month.

After five months, Newman filed for initial custody of their children. In court documents obtained by Us, King alleged that her ex-husband had been aggressive and emotionally manipulative. Newman denied these claims.

After more than three years since King first filed for divorce, the couple finally reached a settlement in September 2023.

According to Newman's attorney, Garry M. Gekht, it was an emotional day at the courthouse as Jaime and Kyle came together to prioritize their two children. Despite years of conflict, they were able to amicably discuss and finalize the details of their settlement. In a heartwarming moment, Jaime even accompanied Kyle to grab coffee across the street as the settlement agreement was being prepared.

Jaime King's request to end child support and spousal support payments raises complex issues. While it's understandable that financial hardship can affect a parent's ability to provide support, it's concerning that this request comes after Newman has welcomed two children with a new partner. King's allegations of Newman's aggressive behavior further complicate the situation, as it's crucial to prioritize the safety and well-being of the children involved.

It's also worth noting that King and Newman had previously reached a settlement in their divorce in 2023, which included provisions for child and spousal support. The fact that King is now seeking to modify this agreement suggests that there have been significant changes in her financial situation or the circumstances surrounding their co-parenting arrangement. It's important for the court to carefully consider all these factors and ensure that any modifications to the support agreement are fair and equitable, taking into account the best interests of the children and both parents.
